Keep reading.\nThis position contributes to the success of the company by assembling the machines and testing them out to find and correct any operational defects. This position supports manufacturing of custom labeling equipment in our New Freedom, PA plant.\nEssential Job Functions\nBuild to engineering specifications\nWork on pressure sensitive labeling equipment to assemble, test and troubleshoot.\nEffectively interact with engineers to help determine if an assembly change is needed to achieve optimum machine performance.\nRequirements\nAbility to read machine drawings/ documentation to assemble machines\nAbility to use basic hand tools\nAbility to use basic power tools\nAbility to work independently\nAdherence to all safety guidelines as outlined in the safety manual\nOwn tools\nOther Skills/Abilities which will ensure success\nExcellent interpersonal skills\nMachine shop knowledge a plus\nFork lift truck knowledge & certification a plus\nMachine shop background a plus\nPhysical requirements of position\nCapable of lifting 40 - 50 pounds, occasionally\nCapable of prolonged standing\nExposure to Hazardous Materials\nFollowing all federal, state, local and IDT specific safety guidelines as prescribed in the employee handbook and subsequent company safety training. Some minor exposure to hazardous materials such as epoxies, cleaners, etc. may be required as part of this job.
