Keep reading.\nThis position contributes to the success of the company by providing accurate designs for current and new solutions for integrated labeling systems. The Mechanical engineer is responsible for all aspects of the design process, including generating new ideas, making plans, fabricating hardware, analyzing components and maintaining systems.\nEssential Job Functions\nDesign, develop, and detail integrated labeling systems using standard and custom components that meet customer requirements and are delivered within defined schedules and project scope\nUtilize design information from previous projects to maximize efficiency and cost effectiveness\nAssist Sales and Application Engineering in developing concepts and reviewing customer requirements\nLead design reviews and evaluate peer designs, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement\nCreate detailed drawings for unique parts, including all documentation required by fabrication departments or outside vendors to manufacture system components\nCollaborate with team members within the Engineering Department and other departments involved in projects to efficiently deliver high-quality solutions for customers (Project Management, Controls Engineering, Assembly, Service, etc.)\nPerform analyses such as strength, speed, and weight calculations as required to ensure successful designs\nParticipate in all phases of a project, including design, manufacturing support, assembly support, testing, and customer acceptance\nAssist with service-related and aftermarket support inquiries.\nDevelop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting documentation, including technical manuals and project folders\nDevelop value-added design solutions that improve equipment performance, simplify manufacturing, and enhance the customer experience\nDemonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results within established project timelines\nManage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively reprioritize as business needs require\nRequirements\n Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field\n 5+ years as a Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Design engineer, CAD Engineer, Simulation Engineer, or related engineering role focused on mechanical design\n 3+ years experience with 3D and 2D CAD software\nWorking knowledge of machining and machine shop processes\nProficiency with Microsoft 365 applications\nStrong written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills\nOther Skills/Abilities which will ensure success\nExperience with engineering, design and fabrication of food and beverage packaging equipment\nExperience with motion control systems, sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and related automation.\nWorking knowledge of electrical design, component selection, and AC/DC circuit fundamentals\nExperience with ERP systems; experience with SyteLine by Infor is preferred\nPositive attitude with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team-oriented environment\nAbility and willingness to travel to customer facilities, up to 5%\nPhysical requirements of position\nAbility to work in both office and manufacturing environments\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods during equipment assembly, testing, and troubleshooting\nAbility to lift and carry up to 40 pounds on occasion\nAbility to safely use hand tools and measuring instruments\nAbility to access machinery and equipment in tight spaces when required for inspection, assembly, or troubleshooting\nAbility to work around moving mechanical equipment, pneumatic systems, and industrial manufacturing environments while following all safety requirements\nExposure to Hazardous Materials\nNegligible\nWhat’s in it for you?\nThere's no monopoly on innovative ideas or limits to how far you can advance with our team.
