Keep reading.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nThe co-op students will support the Engineering team across the following activities:\nSupport continuous improvement projects: map current processes, find waste and bottlenecks, and help test and roll out fixes\nRun time studies and collect operational data, then turn it into clear charts and summaries\n Build and maintain simple tracking tools in Excel (KPIs, project trackers, action lists)\nSupport 5S audits and standard work: help document standard work and maintain visual management\nAssist with health and safety tasks: workplace inspections, hazard identification, incident follow-up, and keeping safety records up to date\nHelp prepare toolbox talks, safety training material and procedure updates\nFollow up on corrective actions so they actually get closed\nWork with other departments: collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and other teams to keep projects on track, and bring your ideas for solving problems\nOther duties: support additional tasks as assigned\nWho We’re Looking For:\n Education: Currently enrolled in an Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering program (or a closely related one), ideally in 2nd or 3rd year.\n Skills:\nIntermediate level Excel skills, including data collection and analysis; comfortable with numbers and spotting patterns in data\nFamiliarity with Lean, Six Sigma or process mapping is an asset (coursework counts)\nCurious and observant, happy to ask “why do we do it this way?” and to think outside the box\nClear communicator who’s comfortable talking with people on the floor as well as in the office\nReliable, organized, and takes safety seriously\nAble to work in a production environment and wear PPE\n\nTeamwork: Works well with people across engineering, manufacturing and other teams.\nTime Management: Prioritizes tasks and meets deadlines, works independently, and asks for help when needed.\nWhat You’ll Gain:\nReal project ownership, not just shadowing\nPractical experience with Lean tools and workplace safety\nRegular one-on-one mentoring and feedback\nWork tailored to your learning goals\nA finished project or two you can show in future interviews\nExposure to how operations, safety and engineering work together\nWhat’s in it for you?\nThere's no monopoly on innovative ideas or limits to how far you can advance with our team.
