And because we understand the importance of feeling protected, there is no waiting period for benefits - you are eligible on your first day of employment!\nAre you interested in this work?\nPurchase routine raw materials, semi-finished goods, finished parts, supplies and/or equipment ensuring that all quality, delivery and specification requirements are met at the lowest possible cost\nProcess the approved purchase requisitions - maintain and update active orders\nBuild relationships with new and existing vendors to reduce lead times, ensure on time delivery and initiate cost savings programs\nGather quotes from various vendors/suppliers on requested parts, equipment and/or supplies\nAssist Production Manager in the measurement and reporting of cost increases, reductions and avoidances\nAssist Production Manager in the evaluation and proposal of alternative sources, materials, and processes aimed at improving standardization, cost, productivity, quality and safety\nAssist in job planning and scheduling label production work orders utilizing Syteline ERP\nInterface with all value chain functions such as manufacturing, engineering and customer service on material status, production planning and scheduling issues\nBe responsible for the analysis of sales order releases with respect to material requirements. Notify manager of any material shortages\nConduct cycle-counts to maintain accurate inventory.\nComplete jobs in Sytline ERP, review amount of material utilized and verify inventory.\nParticipate in continuous improvement projects which reduce costs, improve efficiency and increase overall customer satisfaction through the materials group\nWork with accounting department to reconcile any irregularities in purchase orders and invoices\nProvide administrative assistance as needed such as scheduling meetings, answering phones, general clerical work, monitoring inventory and ordering office supplies\nPerform additional duties and assignments as directed by management\nWho we're looking for?\nTwo or more years of experience in a similar role working in a manufacturing environment\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nEffective interpersonal skills along with excellent oral and written communication skills\nWorking knowledge of personal computers and related software applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
