Keep reading.\nThe Senior Controls Engineer employs analytical and problem-solving skills to assist in the design of comprehensive electrical controls systems for automated production lines in the packaging industry. The Senior Controls Engineer is responsible for aiding in the overall design of the system including control panels and field devices, schematics detailing, and programming PLC, HMI and servos in accordance with industry and client guidelines. The position reports to the Controls Engineering Manager and is located in our Greenville, SC office.\nIn this role you will...\nManage all engineering activities within a project: design; standards; procedures; implementation, and testingDevelop electrical field installation scopes of work.\nDetail electrical schematics, process flow diagrams, panel layouts, termination diagrams, and field wiring pull schedules in accordance with NEC, NFPA and UL specifications.\nSpecify and develop component bills of materials, solicit vendor quotations and, with the assistance of purchasing, order components in accordance with manufacturing requirements.\n\nSystem commissioning & start-up at customers facilities.\nTroubleshooting controls related service calls either via phone or by traveling to customer location.\nTraining maintenance and operations personnel in running and maintaining the production line.\nWork collaboratively with fellow colleagues to communicate and to solve joint challenges.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS:\nAssociates or Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience\nExperience with Allen-Bradley PLC’s, HMIs and Powerflex drives\n5+ Years’ experience in electrical engineering related work preferred\nDemonstrated electrical design skills using AutoCAD Electrical\nCapable with computer software applications including MS Office and MS Project\nExcellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, and computer skills\nMust be self-directed and resourceful, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities\nMust be flexible to accept assignments in support of overall site goals\nMust be able to influence individuals with and without supervisory authority and motivate others within an extended project team that includes outside contractors and vendors\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally approximately 35 to 40% of time; international customers will require off-normal hour interface\nBENEFITS:\nSalary is only a part of a well-developed compensation program.
