This role will design, build, and deploy models and AI-powered applications that help healthcare organizations improve patient outcomes, optimize operations, and accelerate research. Helping our customers harness the power of generative AI by building LLM-powered applications that unlock new possibilities for clinical and operational workflows.\nDesign, build, validate, and deploy machine learning models across the full data science lifecycle, including exploratory analysis, feature engineering, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring.\nDevelop advanced analytics solutions for clinical prediction, population health, operational optimization, and research enablement.\nBuild AI-powered applications leveraging LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and RAG pipelines to support clinical and operational workflows.\nAbility to work with diverse healthcare data sources including EHRs, claims, and clinical registries.\nTranslate complex analytical findings into meaningful, actionable insights for clinical and operational stakeholders.\nManage documentation of best practices and scalable frameworks that can be applied across client engagements.\nMentor and guide client counterparts to build the skills needed to sustain and expand on project deliverables.\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications\n3-5+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or a closely related quantitative role.\nStrong proficiency in Python for data science (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.\nHands-on experience building, validating, and deploying machine learning models (classification, regression, clustering, time-series forecasting).\nExperience with MLOps best practices (model versioning, CI/CD for ML, experiment tracking with MLflow or similar, continuous monitoring).\nPractical experience building AI-powered solutions using LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and RAG pipelines.\nExperience with cloud-based data and ML platforms, including at least one of the following: AWS (SageMaker, Redshift, S3), Azure (Azure ML, Synapse, Data Factory), GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery), Databricks, or Snowflake.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.\nDesired Qualifications\nHealthcare industry knowledge and experience including EHR data, claims, HL7/FHIR, clinical terminologies.\nExperience with population health analytics, risk stratification, or social determinants of health.\nUnderstanding of research enablement workflows including cohort identification, clinical trial matching, and outcomes research.\nExperience with vector databases, embeddings, fine-tuning, or LLM evaluation frameworks.\nFamiliarity with data visualization and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).\nRevenue cycle, staffing optimization, or other operational analytics experience.\nAdvanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, biostatistics, or a related discipline \nSkills, Knowledge, and Abilities\n Professional: Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism by treating others with respect, keeping commitments, building trust within the team, working with integrity, and upholding organizational values (\"Do Great Work and Move Mountains”).\nOrganized: Capable of managing multi-faceted work streams efficiently, ensuring smooth project flow.\nSelf-Motivated: Adept at managing personal schedules, meeting deadlines, and monitoring work quality independently.\nHighly Adaptable: Quickly acclimates to new project assignments and diverse work environments.\nCreative: Approaches problems with a solution-oriented mindset, working collaboratively to find novel solutions.\nCommunication: Effectively conveys clear and concise messages that resonate with the intended audience, both in written and verbal forms.\nProactive: Anticipates potential issues, addresses concerns before they escalate, and effectively raises them when necessary.\nTeam-Oriented: Passionate about mentoring and guiding others, thrives in a team-based environment.\nPhysical and Medical Standards, Working Conditions and Environment\nMust be able to sit or stand at a computer and work remotely and independently from personal home office\nWillingness to travel for onsite meetings and business reviews as needed \nHours Worked\n This is a Full Time, 40 hour per week position.\nThis role is part of our active pipeline for upcoming client engagements and is contingent on project availability, with timing aligned to client demand.\nBenefits\nProminence is dedicated to hiring the best and brightest minds in healthcare and maintaining a culture that rewards our employees for following their passion.
