As we continue to grow and expand globally, we understand that hiring the right people and treating them well is key to our success!\nThis individual will be an integral part of the international accounting team with focus in European and LATAM countries. This is a great opportunity that will allow for career growth as the Company continues to expand. This role is Hybrid, Cork or Belfast.\nYour day-to-day\n\nResponsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, including account reconciliations and roll-forward schedules\nPrepare journal entries based on review of supporting reconciliations and schedules\nGeneral Ledger responsibilities including, but not limited to monthly Management reporting packages, Accounting for International Subs, Accruals, and other areas\nAssist in preparing monthly balance sheet and income statement flux variance analyses for management reporting\nSupport in the procure to pay process\nSupport in annual subs audits where applicable\nSupport team in finance SOX compliance activities\nAssist in process improvement projects, including coordination with cross-functional teams\nDeliver on any ad-hoc projects as necessary\nundefined\nWhat You Bring to the Team\nExperience as a Qualified accountant, with a recognised accounting qualification\nExperience in general accounting in industry and/or a public accounting firm\nExperience working with international subsidiaries is a plus\nDemonstrates a strong working knowledge of US GAAP a plus\nStrong proficiency in Excel, ability to organize and communicate effectively across various mediums with varying audiences\nDetail-oriented with excellent analytical and prioritization skills\nSystem ERP experience a plus, primarily D365 \nWhy Proofpoint?\nAt Proofpoint, we believe that an exceptional career experience includes a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
