Proofpoint.\nJob Description QA Senior Manager\nAbout the role\nWe are seeking an experienced and driven QA Senior Manager to lead and expand our Quality Assurance team. This role is critical in ensuring product quality, aligning QA efforts with company strategy, and serving as the primary liaison between India and US in Sunnyvale.\nKey Responsibilities\nTeam Leadership & Growth\nRecruit and onboard, and develop a high-performing QA team\nFoster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement\nMentor QA engineers and support their professional development\nOperational Management\nOversee day-to-day QA operations, ensuring efficient test planning and execution Establish and maintain QA processes, standards, and best practices\nEnsure timely delivery of high-quality releases\nStakeholder Communication\nProvide weekly status reports to HQ in US, including progress, risks, and key metrics\nAct as the primary point of contact for on-site QA engineers, addressing concerns and enabling success\nCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership teams\nStrategic Alignment\nEnsure QA activities and deliverables are aligned with company roadmap and top management priorities\nIdentify risks early and proactively propose mitigation strategies\nContribute to release planning and quality strategy at a global level\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role\nProven experience building and scaling QA teams\nStrong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks Experience working in a distributed/global environment\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across time zones Strong organizational and reporting skills\nPreferred Skills\nExperience working with HQ or stakeholders in the US\nFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Background in both manual and automated testing strategies\nAbility to balance hands-on involvement with strategic leadership\nWhy Proofpoint\nProtecting people is at the heart of our award-winning lineup of cybersecurity solutions, and the people who work here are the key to our success.
