General Description of the Position\n\nThe UI/UX designer focuses on creating user-friendly and visually appealing digital products by designing both the user interface (UI) and the overall user experience (UX)\n\nUI/UX Designer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. To be successful, he/she must have experience with design software and wireframe tools, both in web and mobile applications. Ultimately, he/she creates both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ needs and help us grow our customer base.\n\nII. Summary of Responsibilities\n\nAs a Jr. UI/UX Designer, he/she is expected to perform the following duties;\n\n Gathers and evaluates user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers\n\n Illustrates design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps\n\n Develops user flows to map out the step-by-step journey users take within a product\n\n Writes user stories that define user goals, needs, and pain points\n\n Collaborates with product managers to align user flows with business objectives\n\n Designs graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets\n\n Builds page navigation buttons and search fields\n\n Develops UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look\n\n Develops intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions and visual designs for mobile.\n\n Creates original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables)\n\n Prepares and presents rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders\n\n Identifies and troubleshoots UX problems (e.g., responsiveness)\n\n Conducts layout adjustments based on user feedback\n\n Adheres to style standards on typography, colors, and images\n\n Collaborates with cross-functional teams throughout the design process\n\n Participates in the development process from definition, through design, build, test, release, and maintenance.\n\n Stay abreast of UX trends and look for creative ideas and inspiration in parallel, analogous worlds.\n\n Researches and tracks advancements in web and mobile application design patterns.\n\n Breaks any design problem down into viable, actionable chunks and solves them with clarity and precision.\n\n Stays in the loop and on top of the latest standards, changes, and trends in the web and mobile design field.\n\n Utilizes AI-powered design and productivity tools responsibly to improve workflow efficiency, ideation, research, content generation, wireframing, and design exploration\n\n Reviews, validates, and refines AI-generated outputs to ensure originality, usability, brand alignment, and business relevance\n\n Applies critical thinking when using AI-assisted workflows and avoids overreliance on generated solutions\n\n Documents and communicates AI-assisted processes transparently when applicable\n\n Continuously explores emerging AI tools, automation workflows, and best practices relevant to UI/UX design and product development\n\n Reports to the Chief Innovations Officer and/or Business Unit Head.\n\nQualifications\nAs a Junior Java Backend Developer, you will develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using Java and Spring/Spring Boot. You will work with databases, APIs, testing, and debugging while collaborating with frontend developers and other stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n Develop, test, debug, and maintain Java-based backend applications.\n\n Build and maintain REST APIs for frontend and backend integration.\n\n Develop efficient, reusable, and scalable modules based on approved technical specifications.\n\n Use Spring/Spring Boot to develop and maintain backend services.\n\n Work with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, including data storage, retrieval, and query optimization.\n\n Implement secure handling of data during transmission, storage, and retrieval.\n\n Write and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests.\n\n Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues, bugs, and performance problems.\n\n Complete assigned features and modules within the agreed Sprint scope and timeline.\n\n Ensure developed solutions comply with technical specifications, coding standards, and internal quality standards.\n\n Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, QA, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.\n\n Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.\n\n Maintain clear and accurate technical and project documentation.\n\n Stay updated with relevant Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and backend development technologies.\n\n Contribute to improving existing systems, development processes, and overall code quality.\n\nKey Requirements\n\n Proficiency in Java.\n\n Working knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot — MUST.\n\n Knowledge of REST API development.\n\n Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.\n\n Understanding of OOP, data structures, and backend development principles.\n\n Basic knowledge of unit and integration testing.\n\n Familiarity with Git/version control and common development tools.\n\n Understanding of secure coding and data-handling
