Drones and autonomous vehicles get higher energy density without lengthy integration cycles.\nIf you want to work on hard engineering problems that matter this is the place.\nJob Overview\nWe’re building high-performance battery and power systems, and we need a Lead PCB Design Engineer who can take ownership of complex designs and ship production-ready hardware fast. You will be working directly with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to bring power electronics from concept to reality.\nThis role can be remote or in person.\nWhat you'll do\nOwn PCB layout from concept through release using Altium Designer\nDesign multi-layer boards (4-12+ layers) for:\nBattery Management Systems (BMS)\nDC-DC converters and power stages\nHigh-current distribution\n\nOptimize for:\nHigh-current paths & low impedance\nThermal performance\nEMI/EMC compliance\n\nDefine stack-ups and collaborate directly with fabrication and assembly partners\nBuild and maintain component libraries and design rules in Altium\nSupport bring-up, debugging, and rapid iteration cycles\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of PCB layout experience\nStrong expertise in Altium Designer\nProven experience with:\nPower electronics (buck/boost converters, switching regulators)\nHigh-current and/or high-voltage layouts\nEMI-aware design practices\n\nSolid understanding of:\nIPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-2152)\nThermal and current density considerations\n\nAbility to work independently and move fast in a startup environment \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with lithium-ion battery systems or BMS\nStartup or small-team experience\nFamiliarity with UL, IEC, or automotive standards\nExperience working directly with overseas fabs/CMs\nPrior Experience with\nSmart battery management systems for various cell chemistries.\nImplementing various wired and wireless communication protocols.\nLaying out mixed-signal ASICs, FPGAs, and/or CPLDs.\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary range: $130,000 - $175,000 depending on experience and qualifications.\nEquity options as part of the compensation package.\nComprehensive healthcare benefits (medical, dental, vision).\nGenerous paid time off and paid holidays (PTO) policy.\nReady to work on power systems that matter?
