You'll work on real problems for millions of buyers, renters and agents: our Next.js web experience, the services behind it, and the AI agents and automated workflows we're building with LLMs.\nThis program is for people who love solving problems. We care less about what you already know and more about how you think: how you break down an unclear problem, the questions you ask, and how quickly you learn. Experienced engineers will mentor you and review your work.\nWhat You'll Do\nTake unclear problems, break them down, and work with your mentor to scope a solution you can ship\n\nBuild features and prototypes across our React/Next.js frontend and TypeScript (Node.js) backend, with guidance and code review from experienced engineers\n\nBuild AI agents and automated workflows on top of LLMs, both for product features and to automate the team's own work, including prompts, tool calling and checking the quality of what the agents produce\n\nDig into data to understand how customers use what we build, and use it to back up your recommendations\n\nPresent your work and your reasoning to engineers, product managers and designers\n\nAsk questions, learn how a large-scale marketplace works, and share what you learn with the team\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired\nA student or recent graduate in a STEM field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics\n\nStrong problem-solving and structured thinking: you can break a messy problem into clear parts, form hypotheses and test them\n\nYou ask the right questions and make sure you understand the problem before jumping to a solution\n\nA proven ability to learn new things quickly, shown through projects, coursework, competitions or work experience\n\nHands-on experience with LLMs. For example, you've built a project on an LLM API (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, AWS Bedrock or similar), worked with prompts, tool calling or retrieval (RAG), or used AI coding assistants in your day-to-day work\n\nSome programming experience in at least one language\n\nGood written and spoken English\n\nNice to have\nA big plus: taking part in corporate case competitions\n\nExperience with our tech stack: TypeScript/JavaScript, React and Next.js, Node.js or Go\n\nFamiliarity with databases or search (SQL, Redis, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch), or with cloud platforms such as AWS\n\nHackathons, competitive programming, or personal projects you can show us (for example on GitHub)\n\nHow You Work\nYou're curious: you want to understand why, not just how\n\nYou think in structure: you frame the problem, lay out the options and explain your reasoning clearly\n\nYou ask questions early and you're comfortable saying \"I don't know yet\"\n\nYou learn from feedback and apply it quickly\n\nYou take ownership of your tasks and see them through\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nBy the end of the program, you'll have shipped real work to production or delivered a working prototype that solves a real problem.
