If you’re excited to build impactful products, learn from an experienced team, and gain hands-on experience at a fast-growing startup, we encourage you to apply.\nWhat Our Platform Does\nOur platform analyzes security alerts, develops and executes investigation plans, and produces detailed findings and actionable recommendations. Security analysts review these investigations and provide context and feedback, which are continuously incorporated into future automation.\nThe Impact You’ll Have\nAs a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll contribute to the backend systems that power Prophet’s platform. Working alongside experienced engineers and experts in product, machine learning, and cybersecurity, you’ll help build services that ingest, process, and reason over large volumes of security data.\nExample projects may include:\nIntegrations at scale: Contributing to extensible frameworks for integrations with third-party security systems, including SIEMs, EDR/XDR platforms, identity providers, and cloud and SaaS logs.\n\nProof-of-Value pipelines: Building reliable backend components that support fast customer onboarding and compelling proof-of-value experiences, from data ingestion to actionable insights.\n\nSecurity data platforms: Helping design storage, indexing, and access patterns for highly dimensional, time-oriented security data used in real-time analysis and historical investigations.\n\nAI-powered security workflows: Developing and evaluating agents and automation that help security teams investigate threats more quickly and effectively.\n\nYou’ll write production code, participate in technical design, receive mentorship from experienced engineers, and take meaningful ownership of a project from development through deployment.\nOur technology stack: AI-powered agents, data synthesis and correlation, security-tool integrations, Python, Go, React, and TypeScript.\nQualifications\nCurrently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with an expected graduation date in 2027.\n\nExperience with one or more relevant programming languages, such as Python or Go, through coursework, research, internships, or personal projects.\n\nUnderstanding of fundamental software engineering concepts, including data structures, algorithms, testing, and system design.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\n\nClear written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to collaborate effectively and learn in a fast-moving environment.\n\nPassion for building high-quality products and solving customer problems.\n\nExperience with backend services, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, or machine learning is helpful but not required.\nOur Culture\nOur employees are our greatest asset.
