You’ll build and run the cloud foundation that keeps a low-latency, regulated, always-on market available, and make it faster and safer for engineers to ship. You’ll work closely with backend, security, and compliance partners, and you’ll have real ownership from day one.\nWhat You’ll Own\nDesign, build, and operate our AWS infrastructure as code (Terraform or equivalent) across production, staging, and development environments.\nRun and scale our Kubernetes platform, including cluster upgrades, autoscaling, networking, and cost management.\nOwn CI/CD end to end: fast, reliable build, test, and deploy pipelines with safe rollout strategies (canary, blue/green) and quick rollback.\nBuild observability for the exchange: metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and actionable alerting tied to SLOs for latency and availability.\nOperate and tune supporting infrastructure for our event-driven systems, including Kafka, databases, caches, and WebSocket edge services.\nParticipate in on-call, lead incident response, and run blameless postmortems that lead to durable fixes.\nPartner with security and compliance on access controls, secrets management, audit logging, vulnerability management, and disaster recovery that meet CFTC-regulated expectations.\nPlan capacity and performance testing ahead of high-volume sports events, and automate away toil.\nDocument runbooks and share knowledge so the whole engineering team can operate with confidence.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n10+ years of DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering experience running production systems at scale\nDeep hands-on expertise with AWS (or equivalent), including networking, IAM, compute, and managed data services\nStrong Kubernetes and Docker experience in production, including cluster operations and troubleshooting\nInfrastructure as code (Terraform strongly preferred) and configuration management, with GitOps-style workflows\nProven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines at scale (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar)\nStrong observability skills: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or comparable tooling, plus SLO-driven alerting\nSolid scripting or programming ability in Go or Python (Go preferred) and comfort with Linux and networking fundamentals\nExperience operating Kafka, SQL and NoSQL databases, and low-latency, real-time services in production\nExperience with incident management, on-call, and blameless postmortems\nWorking knowledge of security best practices: secrets management, least-privilege access, vulnerability scanning, and audit logging\nExperience in trading, exchange, fintech, or other high-throughput regulated systems is strongly preferred\nStrong communicator who can explain complex tradeoffs to technical and non-technical audiences\nProactive, growth-focused, and highly adaptable with a strong sense of ownership\n Nice to Have\nExperience in prediction
