We operate as a distributed team, with employees located across the country and hubs in the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle.\nAbout the Role: \nThe Associate Product Manager sits on Prophia's Product team and reports to the Director of Product Management. This is an early-career product role built for someone who wants to learn (and/or master) the craft end to end in a startup environment. This is a high-exposure, high-ownership role and you will have real responsibility from day one, not just support work. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity and takes initiative without being asked. \nPrimary Responsibilities: \nDiscovery & Research:\nLead customer interviews with our ICP to surface pain points and validate product bets\nSynthesize qualitative and quantitative signals into clear, actionable product briefs\nHelp define and prioritize initiatives across Prophia's core product areas\nExecution & Delivery:\nWrite feature specs, user stories and acceptance criteria that give engineering a clear path to ship\nOwn defined work streams end-to-end, tracking status, surfacing blockers, keeping stakeholders aligned\nDrive features from research through release, including launch readiness and release communications\nCommunication & Alignment:\nHelp maintain and communicate the Now/Next/Later roadmap internally and with customers\nPrepare materials for leadership updates, conference presentations and external product messaging\nPartner with Customer Success to make sure new features land well with existing customers\nQualifications:\n1-3 years of experience in a product role, or in an adjacent role (analyst, engineering, design, data, or customer-facing) with a clear motivation to move into product management\nExposure to commercial real estate, property management or asset management workflows\nStrong written communication, including the ability to turn fuzzy ideas into clear specs and crisp narratives\nOrganized and systematic: you track the details so nothing falls through the cracks\nGenuine curiosity about AI and how it is reshaping knowledge work and enterprise software\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with document-heavy or data extraction products\nExperience with Yardi or MRI (huge plus!)\nFamiliarity with AI/LLM products or agentic pipelines\nTrack record of running customer interviews and translating findings into product decisions\nCompensation for this role is comprised of an annual salary ranging between $100,000-$120,000 as well as equity and benefits.
