The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues, generating monthly reports, invoicing, account reconciliation, and communicating with customers. We’re searching for a skilled, detail oriented financial specialist with excellent communication and record keeping skills. The Accounting Specialist will help keep us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.\nAbout the Role\nThis description provides a current, comprehensive overview of the role, though its responsibilities will evolve as our company grows.\nResponsibilities\nPrepare and maintain detailed accounting records, including AR, AP, and Payroll\nReview contracts and work with project managers to ensure all billable items are included in invoices\nPerform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distributing cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the AR sub-ledger\nMaintain and update accounting files, including customer and banking paperwork\nResearch and resolve account discrepancies\nRespond to client inquiries regarding billing and payment issues\nAssist in the month-end and year-end closing process and prepare related financial reports, including budget to actual comparisons, AR aging, cash receipts, & credit analysis\nEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures\nPrepare financial analyses\nAssist in developing and implementing improvements to financial processes\nAssist with budget preparation and financial forecasting\nDevelop predictive financial models to support organizational decision making\nAssist in streamlining the accounting processes by identifying areas for performance improvement, automation and integration between systems\nExercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, and comply with regulations\nAssist in developing pricing models and creating innovative strategies for cost reduction\nAnalyze and establish policies and procedures to improve our cost structure and budgets\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent\n3-5 years of experience in a similar role.\nRequired Skills\nCapacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment\nAbility to meet deadlines and work under pressure\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail\nStrong analytical, research, time management, and problem-solving abilities\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively with a team\nAbility to keep confidence\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nExcellent customer service skills\nExperience in driving process improvement\nExperience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel\nStrategic thinking and organizational skills\nStrong proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial systems\nPay range and compensation package\nThis position is full-time and in India.
