You need to be able to work in a team under high pressure, but also thrive when left on your own to navigate new challenges. You’ll work closely with Operations, Guest Experience and Property Management to make sure all facets of the property are looked after.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nConducting regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and potential repairs\nTraveling to properties to handle repairs, such as basic plumbing issues, basic electrical work, appliance malfunctions, painting, property checks and basic upkeep of our properties\nCompleting tasks within deadlines and reporting progress to the Operations team\nPerforming regular inspections to identify potential issues or areas for improvement\nWorking closely with Operations and Property Management to address maintenance needs that arise during property turnover\nCoordinating with external contractors or vendors for specialized repairs\nCommunicating effectively with Property Managers and our Guests, providing updates on maintenance progress, scheduling repairs, and addressing any concerns or questions\nMonitoring and maintaining the inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies needed for maintenance and repairs\nHere’s our description of the ideal person for this job:\nDriver’s License (Code B, EB, or C1), must be valid and in good standing\nBased in Cape Town\nProven experience in property maintenance or another tradesman role\nSolid understanding and working knowledge of the technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc\nExcellent communication (English) and interpersonal skills\nOutstanding organisational, time-management and leadership abilities\nHigh school diploma\nBenefits\nAt Propr, we’re all about building an amazing place to work - together.
