We are looking for a Senior Network/ Infrastructure Engineer to join our Network Infrastructure Team in Barcelona. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a wide range of technologies and platforms-including Palo Alto Firewalls, A10 Load Balancers, Cisco Spine/Leaf routing and switching and Imperva WAF-while gaining hands-on experience collaborating with diverse, global teams across multiple regions and cultures.
The team consists of six engineers and reports to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Engineering. We have strong expertise in Cisco routing and switching, Palo Alto firewalls, security policy, and A10 load balancing, and we’re excited to connect with candidates who bring experience in these areas, along with an interest in automation and continuous learning.
About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, or equivalent education and certifications.
At least 5 years of experience in enterprise network engineering supporting complex, global environments.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting of enterprise networks.
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, including security policy management, troubleshooting, and network security best practices.
Experience with network design, capacity planning, and performance optimization for enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
Advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across routing, switching, security, VPN, wireless, and network connectivity technologies.
It would be great if you also have…
Cisco certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCDP, CCIE, or equivalent networking certifications.
Experience with Palo Alto Panorama and advanced firewall administration.
Experience with VPN technologies including IPSec, GRE, Route-Based VPNs, and DMVPN.
Experience with SD-WAN and enterprise wireless technologies.
Experience with load balancing technologies such as A10 Thunder Series and/or F5.
Exposure to Web Application Firewall (WAF) technologies, including Imperva.
What will you be doing in this role?
Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across layers 1-7
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues (LAN, WAN, wireless, security, load balancing) in complex environments
Deploy, configure, and maintain network devices, including hardware, software, and connectivity
Own network incidents and projects end-to-end, including scope, timelines, and deliverables
Configure monitoring, alerting, and automated escalations following best practices
Participate in on-call rotations and ensure timely issue resolution
Contribute to standards, documentation, change management, and mentoring within the team.
About the Team
The Network Infrastructure Team is responsible for keeping the company connected across data centers, remote offices, and cloud environments worldwide. The team is globally distributed, with engineers based across multiple regions, including a presence in Barcelona, and works closely with internal stakeholders such as security, cloud engineering, IT operations, and business teams to deliver a secure, reliable, and high-performing enterprise network.
The team designs, builds, and supports core network infrastructure, including routing and switching for data centers and private cloud environments, remote office connectivity, enterprise wireless and voice services, network security using Palo Alto firewalls and IPSec VPNs, load balancing and application delivery with A10 technologies, and secure connectivity to cloud providers and external partners. Work is guided by standardized processes and best practices, with a strong focus on stability, scalability, and supporting the company’s continued growth.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time permanent position, primarily working core business hours in CET time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed and on-calls system (maintenance work due to customer SLA requirements)
This is a hybrid position working in the office up to 2 days a week.
