You'll develop your media relations and writing skills while learning the intricacies of Wall Street, financial technology, B2B, and professional services.\nProgram Overview and Responsibilities\nReal Work Experience \nProsek Apprentices will:\nDevelop a strong knowledge of the media landscape by building media lists, pitching and establishing relationships with journalists.\nBecome an expert in reading and analyzing news trends and developing timely pitch angles\nWrite content (messaging, press releases and pitches) to propel your clients' brands.\nTake an owner's role in every element of account execution by keeping track of action items, taking thorough notes during internal and client calls and tracking the team's progress as it relates to media opportunities and progress across projects.\nBecome a master researcher by participating in the business development process.\nProfessional Development and Training\nProsek’s Boot Camp program is a curriculum curated and taught by top leaders across the firm on a weekly basis throughout the program. Our Boot Camps are designed to educate Apprentices on both PR and our client sectors. Topics of education include:\nWriting 101\nProfessional Optics\nCapital Markets and Asset Management\nProfessional Services and Financial Technology\nWealth Management and Banking\nInternal Network and Support \nWe invest heavily into the growth and support for our Prosek Apprentices, pairing each Apprentice with a manager, a media buddy and a mentor.\nManagers are responsible for identifying their Apprentice’s strengths, areas for development, and interests to ensure they’re given the right tools to succeed.\nMedia buddies help Apprentices navigate the financial media landscape and develop their media relations skills.\nMentors provide support to Apprentices as they acclimate to a new environment and corporate culture.\nThe goal of Prosek’s PR Development Program is to develop Apprentices into Assistant Account Executives by the end of the program.\nExperience and Qualifications\nCompleted BS/BA degree by the start of the program.\nStrong interest in financial services, professional services, technology and B2B communications.\nPossess a team player mindset and willingness to work collaboratively\nHave solid research and critical thinking skills along with strong time management and prioritization skills.\nExtreme attention to detail is a must.\nStrongly encouraged (but not required) to have prior PR internship(s).\nSalary: $20.00/hour\n\nOur Core Values:\nChemistry, Collaboration and Belonging: Our collegial culture inspires people with different perspectives and backgrounds to work towards common goals as we brainstorm, plan and execute on behalf of our clients and to build our business together.\nGrit and Hustle: We work hard.
