Apprentices also participate in structured Boot Camp training, mentorship and ongoing feedback designed to accelerate their professional development.\nThe program provides Apprentices with the opportunity to build and demonstrate the skills expected of an Assistant Account Executive at Prosek. Based on individual performance, demonstrated readiness and business needs, Apprentices may be considered for promotion to an Assistant Account Executive during or at the conclusion of the six-month program. Promotion is not guaranteed.\n\nProgram Overview and Responsibilities\n What you’ll do \n As a Prosek Apprentice, you will:\nDevelop knowledge of the media landscape by researching reporters, building media lists and learning how to conduct effective media outreach.\nMonitor and analyze breaking news, industry developments and emerging trends to identify opportunities relevant to clients.\nDevelop timely story angles and contribute ideas to account team brainstorms.\nDraft pitches, messaging, press releases, briefing materials and other client content with guidance from account teams.\nBegin pitching reporters and developing relationships with relevant journalists.\nSupport day-to-day account execution by preparing meeting agendas, taking thorough notes, tracking action items and monitoring progress across projects.\nParticipate in internal and client meetings to develop an understanding of effective account management and client communications.\nConduct research on clients, competitors and industries to support account strategy and new business opportunities.\nBuild an understanding of Prosek's core client sectors and the role strategic communications plays in supporting clients' broader business objectives.\nTake on increasing ownership and responsibility as you demonstrate proficiency in foundational skills.\nProfessional Development and Training\nApprentices will participate in Prosek's structured Boot Camp Program, a curriculum curated and taught by leaders across the firm. Boot Camps complement hands-on account experience by building the foundational communications and business knowledge needed to succeed as an AAE.\nTraining may include:\nWriting 101\nMedia Relations & Pitching\nProfessional Optics\nAccount Management Fundamentals\nClient Communications\nCapital Markets & Asset Management\nProfessional Services & Financial Technology\nWealth Management & Banking\nUnderstanding the Financial Media Landscape\nCareer Development & Professional Skills\n\nInternal Network and Support\nApprentices are supported by a dedicated network designed to accelerate their development and help them successfully transition into a professional agency environment.\nEach Apprentice will have access to:\nA Manager who provides ongoing feedback, identifies strengths and development areas, and helps establish goals for progression.\nA Mentor who provides broader career guidance and support as the Apprentice acclimates to Prosek and the professional workplace.\nRegular performance check-ins to discuss progress, development priorities and readiness for increased responsibility.\nExperience and Qualifications\nBachelor's degree completed by the start of the program.\nStrong interest in pursuing a career in public relations and strategic communications.\nInterest in financial services, professional services, technology and/or B2B communications.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nIntellectual curiosity and an interest in business, current events and the media.\nStrong research and critical-thinking skills.\nExcellent attention to detail.\nStrong organization, time management and prioritization skills.\nCollaborative, team-oriented mindset.\nEagerness to learn, receive feedback and develop new skills.\nPrevious public relations or communications internship experience is welcomed but not required.\nSalary: $23.00/hour\nApplication Deadline: March 31st, 2027\n\nOur Core Values:\nChemistry, Collaboration and Belonging: Our collegial culture inspires people with different perspectives and backgrounds to work towards common goals as we brainstorm, plan and execute on behalf of our clients and to build our business together.\nGrit and Hustle: We work hard.
