You’ll command the close process, enforce rigor, and ensure financials are accurate, timely, and decision-ready. You’ll work closely with fractional CFOs, client leadership teams, and internal staff to elevate accounting from a back-office function to a strategic asset.\nYou’ll also be expected to drive change, even when there’s resistance. That means leading system implementations, rolling out new processes, building automations, tightening controls, and ensuring audit readiness across multiple environments. You won’t just maintain what exists, you’ll fix what’s broken and raise the bar.\nThis role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment and takes pride in getting the details right-every time.\nKey Responsibilities:\nClient & Team Management\nServe as the primary financial advisor for multiple clients. \nOversee and manage a team of accountants, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance. \nProvide problem-solving expertise, addressing complex financial challenges and streamlining processes. \nFinancial Oversight & GAAP Compliance\nReview and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) in compliance with GAAP standards. \nConduct month-end and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting. \nImplement and enforce internal controls to safeguard financial integrity. \nAccounting Operations & Software Proficiency\nManage and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger functions. \nLeverage SAGE Intacct and QuickBooks Online for financial management, reporting, and process automation. \nLead SAGE Intacct implementation projects, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of accounting processes (preferred but not required). \nProject Management & Process Improvement\nOversee accounting-related projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met on time. \nIdentify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements, optimizing accounting workflows and reporting structures. \nIdeal Candidate Profile\nThis role is for a Controller who moves fast, owns outcomes, and demands precision. You thrive in client-facing, high-pressure environments, take pride in tightening processes, and lead with confidence.
