The candidate must have a strong work ethic, superb finance skills, an understanding of PE-backed M&A and excellent communication skills.\nWhy This Opportunity is Different:\nParticipate in equity value appreciation through Prosperity's Employee Purpose Plan;\nMake a visible and measurable impact on firm growth, brand awareness, business development, and industry relationships;\nGain exposure to a broad range of M&A and corporate development responsibilities work closely with firm leadership as part of a lean team;\nTitle and level may be adjusted to a more senior position based on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport Prosperity through various stages of the acquisition process, including, but not limited to: sourcing and relationship building, evaluating targets, financial modeling, business diligence, managing third party diligence workstreams, and transaction execution activities;\nBuild relationships with leadership at M&A targets, industry brokers and investment banks, and third-party diligence providers;\nWork directly with business owners and leaders to assess cultural and strategic fit;\nOwn key aspects of diligence, including internal financial and business diligence, and managing third party diligence workstreams;\nPrepare acquisition proposals, IOIs and LOIs;\nMaintain diligence request lists and data rooms for live deals;\nSupport transaction execution including purchase agreement review, working with our lenders for debt financing, and building and maintaining funds flow documents;\nDevelop materials for Prosperity executive leadership and board of directors;\nContinuously improve your work, contribute to enhancing firm operations and culture, and uphold Prosperity’s core values.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree;\n2 to 6 years of experience working in transaction advisory, financial due diligence, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development;\nUnderstanding of financial statements and due diligence analyses;\nEagerness and desire for continuous learning and improvement;\nFlexibility and adaptability in driving M&A processes forward independently;\nStrong organizational and time management skills, able to handle multiple workstreams and projects simultaneously;\nExcellent social, verbal, and written communication skills;\nTrack-record of quality work and meeting deadlines;\nAbility to balance a keen attention to detail while understanding big picture goals;\nAvailability to work in Prosperity’s Chicago office at least 3 days per week;\n Preferred: advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial formulas, etc.);\n Preferred: experience with PE-backed platform acquisitions.\nProsperity Partners is a people-focused professional services business with a strong culture, talented professionals, and exceptional clients.
