Reporting directly to the DevOps Director, you will guide a team of DevOps Engineers, drive technical excellence, and ensure the smooth delivery of infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD capabilities across the organization. This role combines technical depth with people leadership - you are equally comfortable reviewing a Terraform plan and running a team retrospective.\nRequirements\nExperience & Background\n5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related field.\n2+ years in a team lead, tech lead, or senior individual contributor role with mentorship responsibilities.\nProven track record of leading small-to-mid-size engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and Terragrunt.\nDeep experience with CI/CD tooling - GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or equivalent.\nProficiency in at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.\nExperience with monitoring and observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.\nSolid scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.\nKnowledge of container security, Vault, and infrastructure cost management.\nFamiliarity with Ansible, Docker, and networking/DNS fundamentals.\nLeadership & Soft Skills\nExcellent communication skills - able to translate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.\nA collaborative, people-first mindset with a focus on team success over individual contribution.\nComfort working across time zones and with distributed, international teams.\nProactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement and automation-first mindset.\nNice to Have\nExperience with large-scale SaaS or data-intensive environments.\nFamiliarity with Apache Flink, ElasticSearch, Vertica, or hybrid cloud deployments.\nExposure to Keycloak (OIDC), Tableau, or enterprise identity management.\nCustomer-facing or on-site deployment experience.\nResponsibilities\nTeam Leadership & Management\nLead, mentor, and support a team of DevOps Engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nConduct regular 1:1s, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional growth of team members.\nCoordinate workload distribution, sprint planning, and prioritization across the team in alignment with organizational goals.\nAct as the primary point of escalation for technical challenges within the team.\nWork closely with the DevOps Director to translate the DevOps roadmap into actionable team-level objectives.\nTechnical Execution\nDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.\nManage and evolve cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes.\nLead automation initiatives to improve deployment reliability, system scalability, and developer productivity.\nEnsure robust observability through Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK, and participate in incident management and on-call rotations as needed.\nChampion infrastructure security best practices, including secrets management (Vault) and container security.\nCollaborate with R&D, QA, and Product teams to streamline release processes and resolve deployment bottlenecks.\nProcess & Governance\nDefine and enforce DevOps best practices, coding standards, and documentation guidelines across the team.\nDrive post-incident reviews and implement learnings to prevent recurrence.\nMonitor infrastructure costs and propose optimization strategies to the DevOps Director.\nMaintain and improve technical documentation, runbooks, and operational
