Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer will be a key hands-on developer dedicated to building and executing tasks across the enterprise integration capability and API ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for translating technical specifications into clean code and delivering assigned tasks across critical insurance domains, including the Policy Administration System (PAS), Claims, Accounting, Reinsurance, Ancillary Systems, and External Third-Party Integrations. This position requires strong hands-on coding expertise in Java/Groovy, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures; React.js/Node.js/Next.js; JavaScript; HTML; and development tools. Work experience in the insurance domain and the InsureMO platform is highly preferred.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Core Engineering and Middleware Execution:

• Drive end-to-end integration delivery by designing, coding, configuring, and deploying modular components using Spring Boot Microservices and the InsureMO platform.
• You will develop robust integrations that route cleanly through the enterprise middleware framework to avoid point-to-point hardcoding while strictly adhering to enterprise API design standards and clean-code practices.
• The role requires hands-on ability to understand and utilize InsureMO platform capabilities and configuration tools, including iComposer, iHub, and other relevant InsureMO components, to configure, customize, orchestrate, and integrate insurance products and services.
• The developer should be able to leverage platform capabilities wherever applicable rather than implementing functionality through unnecessary custom code.

Core Platforms and Third-Party Ecosystem:

• Consume and extend vendor APIs to map complex data structures and handle platform customizations, with a specific focus on the cloud-native InsureMO ecosystem.
• You will build high-performing REST APIs to seamlessly connect vital third-party utility services, including KYC/CKYC, VAHAN, IIB, and payment gateways, ensuring secure backend support for modern React/JavaScript digital channels.

Testing, Automation, and Collaboration:

• Secure flawless production rollouts by building and running comprehensive automated test collections using the Postman tool suite for SIT/UAT phases.
• In this collaborative role, you will partner closely with onboarding managers and QA engineers to resolve technical dependencies and rapidly troubleshoot post-go-live incidents

Requirements:

• Required Skillset: Insurance Domain, InsureMO platform, REST APIs, Java/Groovy, React.js/Nodet.js/Next.js, JavaScript, HTML, Spring Boot, Postgres, and Microservices.
• Total Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with experience in backend development, frontend development, and system integration.
• Core Backend: Proven experience in backend development using Java, Groovy, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Database: Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
