You'll lead our Mobile Team and take ownership of our React Native mobile app, a key part of our Enterprise Risk Management platform that helps organisations manage risk with confidence.\nThis is a hands-on leadership role. You'll guide a team of three developers and work closely with product, design, and engineering to deliver elegant, high-performing apps. You'll also help shape our mobile architecture, coach your team, and guide how we bring new ideas to life.\nIf you love writing great code, growing smart people, and seeing your work have a real impact on a global scale, this might be your perfect next step.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead an agile team to build, test, and ship scalable mobile apps in React Native (iOS + Android).\n\nWrite clean, secure, and well-documented code that sets the bar for quality.\n\nPlan and track releases and sprints using Agile Scrum.\n\nPartner with designers and product managers to create features users love.\n\nTroubleshoot and optimise for performance and smooth user experience.\n\nLead by example: review code, share knowledge, and support and develop your team.\n\nGuide our Mobile QA team to improve mobile automation test coverage.\n\nIntegrate with APIs and native modules, and contribute to architecture and technical design decisions.\n\nHelp shape how we deliver mobile at Protecht as we continue to scale globally.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n5+ years of mobile development experience with React Native.\n\nA passion for mentoring and training others.\n\nStrong grasp of JavaScript, TypeScript and React fundamentals.\n\nExperience with Expo and EAS services.\n\nExperience building offline-first mobile apps, ideally with Realm or a comparable embedded/sync database.\n\nExperience with state management (Redux, TanStack, Context API).\n\nFamiliarity with iOS/Android native development and testing frameworks (Jest, Detox).\n\nExcellent problem-solving skills, and a great communicator and collaborator.\n\nA relevant tertiary qualification, such as computer science or information systems.\n\n(Nice to have) Experience with AI-assisted development tools, Appium, mobile security hardening (e.g. certificate pinning), RTK Query, CI/CD pipelines for mobile, publishing to the App Store and Google Play, managing offshore teams, or WCAG accessibility standards.\n\nWhy You'll Love It Here\nWe're proud to have built a culture that people genuinely love being part of.
