This individual will bring a strong user-centered design mindset, simplify complex experiences and help ensure consistent, effective experiences across Protective’s digital ecosystem.\n****This role will be titled \"Senior Associate Design\" within the organization.****\nResponsibilities\nLead UX design for complex digital experiences from discovery and concept development through implementation.\nTranslate user needs, research insights, business requirements and technical considerations into effective experience strategies and design solutions.\nDevelop end-to-end user journeys and flows, identifying friction points and opportunities to simplify and improve the experience.\nGather and evaluate user requirements in partnership with business and cross-functional teams.\nCreate information architecture, process flows, sitemaps, wireframes, prototypes and interaction designs that clearly communicate the intended user experience.\nPartner closely with UX Research to incorporate customer insights, user feedback and usability findings into design decisions.\nCreate, maintain and apply reusable design patterns and components that promote consistent experiences across digital properties.\nEnsure experiences work effectively across desktop, tablet and mobile and incorporate accessibility best practices.\nPartner with Creative teams to ensure brand expression and visual design support an intuitive and effective digital experience.\nCollaborate closely with IT developers and technology partners throughout the product lifecycle to ensure designs are feasible, scalable and implemented as intended.\nDevelop clear UX documentation and design specifications for developers and stakeholders.\nPresent design concepts and recommendations to internal teams and key stakeholders, clearly articulating the rationale behind design decisions.\nReview digital analytics, journey trends, usability findings and customer feedback to identify opportunities for continuous experience improvement.\nParticipate in design reviews and provide UX guidance and mentorship to other designers and cross-functional partners.\nConduct design and visual QA to help ensure the final experience accurately reflects the intended UX design.\nQualifications/Education\n5+ years of UX/UI or product design experience designing complex digital products, websites or services.\nDegree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.\nPortfolio demonstrating professional UX design work across web and mobile experiences.\nStrong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, interaction design, responsive design and accessibility.\nDemonstrated experience translating complex customer and business problems into simple, intuitive user experiences.\nExperience creating customer journeys, user flows, information architecture, wireframes and interactive prototypes.\nExperience working with design systems, reusable components and established digital design patterns.\nStrong working knowledge of modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma.\nExperience using research, analytics and user feedback to inform design decisions.\nExperience collaborating with business and development teams throughout the product lifecycle.\nExcellent written, verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate design thinking, processes and recommendations to stakeholders.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of design quality.\nBe open to receiving feedback and design critique.\nPreferred: experience working in an Agile or product management operating model with demonstrated success partnering across product, design and technology
