You will work independently with client stakeholders, make sound technical decisions within the agreed architecture and delivery framework, and collaborate with engineering and practice leadership on broader technical strategy.\nThe role will focus on the design, development, modernization, integration, and production deployment of Multi-Target Applications (MTAs) using the Cloud Application Programming (CAP) model, ABAP, and other SAP and cloud-native technologies.\nYou will be expected to remain hands-on throughout the project lifecycle, supporting technical discovery, architecture, development, deployment, go-live, and production stabilization.\nCritical to This Role: Technical Engineering Expertise\nThis is primarily a technical architecture and engineering role.\nThe Architect must bring deep, hands-on SAP engineering experience, with the ability to:\nDesign, build, deploy, and support production-grade applications on SAP BTP \nLead the technical execution of projects from discovery and solution design through development, deployment, and go-live \nProvide expert guidance on SAP CAP, Node.js, TypeScript, ABAP, integrations, security, data architecture, and DevOps \nTranslate business requirements into secure, scalable, maintainable, and production-ready technical solutions \nMake day-to-day technical decisions independently and escalate broader strategic or delivery considerations appropriately \nWork directly with engineering teams to review code, solve complex technical problems, and remove delivery blockers \nContribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns, technical guardrails, and development best practices \nServe as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders, representing the engineering team confidently and without requiring day-to-day supervision \nCollaborate with the Engineering Manager and practice leadership on technical direction, capability development, and longer-term strategy \nWe are specifically looking for:\nA senior technical SAP professional with deep expertise in SAP BTP, CAP, ABAP, and enterprise application delivery \nThe ideal candidate can take ownership of a technical workstream, guide engineers, contribute hands-on, engage clients independently, and remain accountable for the quality and successful delivery of the solution.\nFunctional SAP or ERP process knowledge is beneficial, but it is not required. This role is intended for an expert technical architect and engineer, rather than a functional consultant or business-process architect.\nArchitectural Accountability\nYou will design, build, and support highly available, secure, scalable, and performant platform components across:\nTypeScript-based Node.js CAP service architectures \nEnterprise CDS domain and persistence modeling \nSAP BTP services, environments, and account structures \nMulti-Target Application configuration, packaging, and deployment \nABAP development, extensibility, integration, and troubleshooting \nHANA Cloud and PostgreSQL data architecture \nIdentity and Access architecture (XSUAA, IAS/IPS, OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT) \nSAP Destination, Connectivity, and Cloud Connector architecture \nOData, REST, RFC, BAPI, IDoc, and event-driven integrations \nReact-based UI architecture \nYou will also contribute expertise across:\nSAPUI5 and Fiori modernization approaches \nCloud-native architecture principles (eventing, APIs, microservices, and containerization) \nEnd-to-end DevOps architecture, including CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and operational readiness \nClean-core extension strategies \nECC → S/4HANA trusted to own technical decisions within your projects and workstreams, while aligning with the overall direction established by engineering and practice leadership.\nYou must be comfortable operating at every level-from discussing architecture recommendations with senior client stakeholders to working directly with engineers on application design, code reviews, deployments, and complex technical issues.\nCore Requirements\nDeep, hands-on experience designing and delivering production applications on SAP BTP \nProven ability to lead the technical execution of projects from discovery and architecture through development, deployment, go-live, and production support \nDemonstrated experience working independently with enterprise clients as a trusted technical advisor \nStrong technical leadership skills combined with a willingness and ability to remain hands-on \nProven ability to translate business requirements into pragmatic, scalable, and production-ready technical solutions \nAbility to make high-quality technical decisions independently while working within established architectural and delivery standards \nExperience contributing to architecture standards, engineering practices, reusable patterns, and technical governance \nDemonstrated ability to guide developers and collaborate effectively with engineering managers, technical leads, and
