Protera Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our core clinical team, delivering exceptional virtual orthopedic care to patients nationwide. Our goal is to help individuals with back, neck, and joint pain regain function, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life while also decreasing excessive, unnecessary spend for orthopedic care.\nPosition Summary\nAs a core member of our Clinical team, you will play an essential role in delivering patient-centered MSK care through telehealth visits, asynchronous communication, and collaborative clinical discussions while also contributing to projects and initiatives. This role is ideal for a proactive, compassionate, and tech-savvy PT eager to work in a dynamic, fast-growing startup environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct initial PT evaluations for newly enrolled patients, including functional assessment and goal setting.\n\nDevelop and update individualized home exercise programs (HEP) and self-management plans.\n\nProvide follow-up PT visits, progressions/regressions, and care plan modifications based on patient response.\n\nIdentify red flags and coordinate escalation to the medical team (physicians/APPs) when appropriate.\n\nEducate patients on condition management, activity modification, ergonomics, and pain science principles as appropriate.\n\nCollaborate regularly with physicians, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, and health coaches to ensure favorable patient outcomes.\n\nEngage with the broader clinical team to discuss complex cases and share best practices.\n\nAdhere to and help refine clinical protocols and standard operating procedures.\n\nParticipate in clinical and operational initiatives to enhance patient care.\n\nWho You Are\nA collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment but also works well independently.\n\nPassionate about patient empowerment and committed to delivering exceptional MSK care.\n\nDetail-oriented, proactive, and willing to take initiative beyond assigned tasks.\n\nAdaptable and excited about being part of an early-stage healthcare startup.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nLicensed Physical Therapist (PT) (active, unrestricted).\n\nMinimum of 2 years of MSK/Orthopedic physical therapy experience.\n\nStrong commitment to delivering top-tier MSK care with empathy and efficiency.\n\nExcellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.\n\nAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.\n\nEnthusiastic about healthcare innovation and digital health solutions.\n\nReliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional remote workspace.\n\nWillingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience delivering PT via telehealth (virtual MSK care).\n\nBackground in health-tech.\n\nExperience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.\n\nFlexibility in availability to meet shifting patient demands.
