We are raising the standard for how physical security is managed and delivered, helping protect people, property and communities.\nPosition Summary\nThe Junior Financial Analyst is a member of the Commercial & Sales Finance team, reporting to the Director of Commercial & Sales Finance. The role spans two functions, Commercial Finance and Sales Finance, supporting financial and sales reporting and analysis across Protos’ clients and service lines. Within Commercial Finance, the Junior Financial Analyst will prepare management reporting packages, maintain dashboards, support monthly revenue forecasting, and analyze performance through variance and trend analysis. Within Sales Finance, the role will monitor and report on sales activity, including pipeline, new business opportunities, and client wins and losses, and support opportunity review processes. Across both areas, the role will conduct ad hoc analysis and work closely with Sales, Operations, Accounting, and FP&A to deliver accurate reporting and analysis.\nThis position is ideal for an analytical, detail-oriented finance professional with 0-2 years of relevant experience who is interested in developing a strong understanding of finance, sales, and business operations, with the goal of providing increasingly meaningful financial and sales insights.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nCommercial Finance\nPrepare and maintain recurring biweekly and monthly reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across clients and service lines.\nAssist in preparing monthly financial reporting packages, performance summaries, and supporting analyses for leadership and business reviews, ensuring results are accurate and clearly presented.\nSupport monthly revenue forecasting and reforecasting processes, including data analysis, model updates, forecast submissions, and validation of key inputs and assumptions.\nPerform actual versus forecast, budget, and prior-period variance analysis to identify material changes and key drivers of revenue and gross profit performance and summarize findings for leadership.\nAnalyze client and service-line performance, identifying trends in revenue, margin, and business activity, as well as emerging risks and opportunities.\nSales Finance\nPrepare and maintain sales pipeline reporting, including the monthly consolidated pipeline file, tracking new opportunities, client wins and losses, conversion, and sales trends.\nSupport sales reporting and analysis, including monthly business review materials and presentations for Sales leadership.\nSupport opportunity approval reviews and client credit checks in partnership with Sales, ensuring deals align with pricing and credit guidelines.\nShared Functions\nCollect, reconcile, and validate financial, sales, and operational data across reporting systems to support accurate and consistent reporting.\nConduct ad hoc financial, sales, and operational analysis to support business initiatives and provide actionable insights for decision-making.\nCollaborate with Sales, Operations, Accounting, and FP&A to gather and validate data, investigate performance trends, and support reporting and forecasting activities.\nIdentify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, improve data quality, and automate recurring financial and sales analysis.\nQualifications & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.\n0-2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, data analysis, business analytics, or a related discipline. \nEntry-level candidates with relevant internship, co-op, academic, or project experience in Finance, Accounting, or Analytics will be considered.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and identify key trends, variances, and opportunities.\nUnderstanding of fundamental financial concepts, including revenue, gross profit, margins, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.\nStrong proficiency in Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables) and PowerPoint.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly summarize findings for non-finance audiences.\nAbility to leverage AI tools to assist with data analysis and improve efficiency while maintaining data accuracy, and curiosity.\nHigh level of attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nDesire to learn and develop within a growing Finance organization.\nWhy You’ll Love Working With Us\nAt Protos Security, we are a community of driven professionals working together to make the world safer through technology and service.
