This role is responsible for managing shipments throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining accurate transportation data, and providing exceptional customer service. The Expedite Specialist serves as a key point of contact between customers, carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nTrack, monitor, and manage expedited shipments from pickup through final delivery.\nProactively communicate shipment updates and status reports to customers.\nResolve shipment issues, delays, and service concerns through effective problem-solving and customer service.\nMaintain accurate and timely shipment information within the Transportation Management System (TMS).\nSupport charter, hand-carry, and ground expedite transportation operations.\nBid, schedule, and dispatch shipments while ensuring compliance with operational procedures.\nAssist with shipment bookings, documentation, tracing, and delivery coordination.\nMaintain knowledge of brokerage and customs services to support shipment requirements.\nMonitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics as assigned.\nCollaborate with carriers, suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service execution.\nFollow company policies, procedures, and communication standards, including email and Microsoft Teams best practices.\nIdentify opportunities for process improvements and communicate recommendations to leadership.\nParticipate in team meetings, operational reviews, and cross-functional training initiatives.\nSupport team coverage and business continuity through cross-training and collaboration.\nProtect company interests while maintaining a high level of service and professionalism.\nQualifications\nRequired Education & Experience\nBILINGUAL IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH REQUIRED \nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nExperience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations preferred.\nStrong understanding of expedited transportation, including:Charter services\nHand-carry shipments\nGround expedite operations\n\nKnowledge of brokerage and customs-related services.\nExperience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and transportation software.\nPreferred Skills & Competencies\nStrong customer service and relationship management skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication abilities.\nStrong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.\nHighly organized with strong attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nDemonstrates honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all business interactions.\nTeam-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments.\nPhysical Requirements\nProlonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.\nAbility to perform standard office-related tasks.\nTravel Requirements\nMinimal travel required (0%).\nLanguage Requirements\nFluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.\nBilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be preferred in certain markets.\nWhy Join ProTrans?\nAt ProTrans, we are committed to delivering exceptional transportation solutions through teamwork, innovation, and customer focus.
