A key responsibility of this position is to drive adoption of the Supplier Portal, including transitioning existing suppliers from manual or legacy processes into the portal, onboarding new suppliers, providing training, and monitoring ongoing utilization and compliance.\nThe Supplier Compliance Specialist will use operational and compliance data to identify trends, target recurring non-compliance, educate suppliers, and drive measurable improvements in supplier performance.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupplier Compliance Management\nMonitor supplier compliance with customer routing guides, shipping instructions, and transportation requirements.\nInvestigate routing and compliance violations and work with suppliers to implement corrective action, including:\no Incorrect or incomplete Bills of Lading (BOLs)\no Failure to follow routing instructions\no Shipping earlier than authorized\no Shipping without properly scheduling required pickups\no Incorrect shipment or routing information\no Failure to follow required portal or shipment-notification processes\nDocument and follow-up on supplier compliance regarding issues, trends, violations, and corrective action efforts.\nEscalate repeat or high-risk supplier issues to leadership and key stakeholders.\nMaintain supplier accountability through ongoing monitoring and performance management.\nSupplier Portal Adoption & Training\nLead supplier onboarding and migration into approved supplier technology platforms and portals.\nDevelop and maintain supplier implementation plans and onboarding schedules.\nProvide supplier training on portal functionality, shipment creation, documentation requirements, and compliance expectations.\nMonitor portal utilization and address adoption barriers.\nMaintain supplier training materials, process guides, and knowledge resources.\nOperational Compliance\nMonitor compliance related to: Routing adherence\nTransportation instructions\nPickup scheduling\nShipment readiness\nOn-time shipping requirements\nVisibility and milestone reporting\n\nPartner with Operations and Customer Service teams to resolve supplier-caused execution failures.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing operational exceptions and increasing execution reliability.\nDocumentation & Financial Compliance\nEnsure suppliers provide complete and accurate shipment documentation.\nResolve issues involving: Bills of Lading (BOLs)\nPurchase Orders\nShipment references\nProof of shipment documentation\nCustomer-required documentation\n\nSupport reduction of unbilled shipments and invoice delays caused by supplier documentation deficiencies.\nIdentify recurring documentation issues and implement preventive actions.\nPerformance Management & Analytics\nAnalyze supplier performance and compliance data to identify trends and root causes.\nDevelop recurring supplier compliance reporting and dashboards.\nMonitor supplier KPIs and communicate performance results to leadership.\nPrioritize supplier engagement activities based on operational impact, customer risk, and financial exposure.\nUse analytics to drive supplier improvement initiatives and accountability programs.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with: Operations\nTransportation Planning\nCustomer Service\nFinance and Accounts Payable\nSupply Chain
