Individual contributors who thrive in a collaborative culture and a strong technical environment - self-starting, dynamic, and quick to pick up new technologies in order to deliver working solutions with minimal direction.\nThis is a backend-heavy full-stack role: you should be an engineer who is at home in distributed, server-side systems first, with the range to also work competently across the stack when a feature calls for it.\nWhat You'll Do\nWe are seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to work closely with the architecture team on enhancements to Provenir's cloud-native, microservices-based decisioning engine (rules/graph-based execution).\nThis role requires deep, hands-on backend expertise and extends into full ownership of features end to end - from service design through UI integration and deployment.\nDesign, build, and evolve microservices for Provenir's decisioning engine using Core Java and Spring Boot.\nDesign and implement synchronous and asynchronous REST APIs that power decisioning workflows across the platform.\nApply multi-threading and performance-tuning techniques to keep high-throughput decisioning services fast and reliable at scale.\nBuild and maintain event-driven integrations using Kafka and ActiveMQ (or equivalent message queuing technologies) to support distributed, asynchronous processing.\nModel and manage data across relational and NoSQL stores (MySQL, MongoDB) using ORM tools such as Hibernate, Ebeans, or OpenJPA.\nPractice test-driven development, writing and maintaining unit tests as a core part of the delivery process.\nContainerize and deploy services with Docker and Kubernetes, working within a single-region, multi-AZ\nAWS deployment architecture, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, Datadog).\nOwn features across the full SDLC - design, testing, implementation, deployment, and maintenance - in partnership with the architecture team.\nBuild and maintain Angular or React or any frontend framework components and modules that surface decisioning workflows and configuration screens, integrating cleanly with backend REST APIs.\nContribute to responsive UI work using TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3, and frameworks such as Material-UI, Bootstrap, or Tailwind.\nWhat's Required\nExperience & Education\nMinimum of 5 years of professional software development experience - this is a firm minimum for the role.\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, Angular or React or any frontend framework, AWS, multi-threading, and performance tuning.\nProven experience designing, building, and deploying microservices architectures in cloud environments.\n4+ years designing and developing synchronous and asynchronous REST web services.\nExperience with message queuing technologies such as Kafka, ActiveMQ, or equivalent.\n4+ years working with ORM tools (Hibernate, Ebeans, or OpenJPA) across relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB).\n4+ years of test-driven development and unit testing practice.\nSolid grounding in OOA/OOD and design patterns - knowing where, why, and how to apply them.\nHands-on experience with AWS, containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD tooling (Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, Datadog).\nFull-Stack / Frontend Exposure\nWorking knowledge of Angular or React or any frontend framework, with hands-on experience integrating front-end applications with backend REST services.\nPractical, hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive UI frameworks such as Material-UI, Bootstrap, or Tailwind.\nNice to Have\nExperience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.\nUnix/Linux operating system knowledge.\nBroader exposure to event-driven and distributed system design beyond core messaging integration.\nExposure to systems supporting ML/DL/AI model training, testing, or execution within a production product stack.\nWhy You Should Join Us\nOur employees are empowered to be curious, forward-thinking engineers.
