Support personnel work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, vendors, consultants, and other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duty. Additionally, this position is responsible for registering outpatient laboratory encounters obtaining complex demographic, insurance, and medical information. Successful candidates will maintain up to date knowledge and competency on required registration functions. Your voice matters here, because we know that to inspire and retain the best people, we must empower them.\nRequired Qualifications:\n2 years Healthcare or related field experience, OR a combination of applicable experience and education.\nClerical or client services experience.\nExperience with State and Federal and other regulatory Compliance Regulations including Medicare Secondary Payor (MSP), EMTALA, ABN, HIPPA.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCoursework/Training: 2 years college. Courses in biological sciences, anatomy, and medical terminology, Or\nAssociate's Degree courses in biological sciences, anatomy, and medical terminology, Or\nBachelor's Degree courses in biological sciences, anatomy, and medical terminology. \nCoursework/Training: Certification from a Clinical Laboratory Assistant program, or equivalent education/experienceCertification from a phlebotomy program with 1 year of phlebotomy related experience, Or\nThree (3) years related experience.\n\nCertification from an approved government agency or nationally recognized professional organization (ASCP, NCA, etc.)\nIndustry-related experience in a high volume, acute care setting.\nTwo (2) years Phlebotomy, medical assisting, research, clinical laboratory experience, or certification.\nJob experience in specimen collection, specimen preparation and equipment operation, pneumatic tubes systems and other laboratory equipment.\nWhy Join Providence?\nOur best-in-class benefits are uniquely designed to support you and your family in staying well, growing professionally, and achieving financial security.
