food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Executive Director and Dining Director, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.\nReview menus and prepares food in accordance with menu.\nMakes accommodations on individual orders as requested by residents/guests.\nAssists with cutting, marinating and precooking foods.\nPrepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.\nServe food in accordance with established portion control procedures.\nEnsure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.\nResponsible for maintaining a sanitized work area.\nEnsure that food area stocked and organized, alerts manager of any inventory deficiencies.\nKeeps fast-moving pace with other cooks on the line so that all food is ready for each plate at the same time.\nWraps unused items and stores in proper areas at the end of a shift and shuts off all equipment at the station.\nRequirements\n1-2 years of professional cooking experience preferred\nIllinois Food Sanitation License required\nSenior living or healthcare cooking experience a plus\nAbility to prepare large quantities and a la carte dishes\nPositive attitude and teamwork mindset\nEOE\nSalary
