Our work is rooted in respect, compassion, and inclusion, and we envision a world where individual differences are appreciated and celebrated.\nAt Advocates, we value the ideas, experiences, and contributions of employees and are committed to fostering a supportive, welcoming culture where everyone can grow and thrive.\nMinimum Education Required\nHigh School Diploma/GEDResponsibilities\nPerform insurance verifications for new and ongoing clients insuring that all necessary forms and documents have been completed for billing process.\nCommunicate with clinical staff regarding client billing issues, insurance specifications, and prior approval requirement.\nSubmit necessary documentation to insurance carriers for reimbursement daily and as needed. \nPrepare all documentation for recording and submitting third party claims. \nFollow up and resolve issues regarding claim denials.\nReview aged trial balance on a monthly basis to perform collection activities that include, client and insurance phone calls. \nMonitor current insurance requirements, regulations, and maintain updated library.\nEnsure that clients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates Human Rights Policy.\nAttendance at staff meetings.\nPerform all duties in accordance with agency policies and procedures.\nPerform inquiries, obtain and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance plans.\nStrictly follow all agency Performance Standards.\nQualifications\nMust have high school diploma.\nPreferred two years experience in third party billing, including automated billing systems, knowledge of insurance carrier regulations, policies and procedures, collections and overall accounts receivable management.\nKnowledge of billing software and third party reimbursement procedures.\nMust be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nHigh energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.\nMust have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.\nAbility multitask in a busy office environment.\nAdvocates is committed to cultivating a diverse and welcoming community where everyone feels respected and valued.
