We push billions of transactional and\nmarketing emails a month for banks, fintechs, retail and OTT customers across India, LATAM, the\nMiddle East and now the US market. At that scale, deliverability is not a marketing checkbox - it is an\nengineering problem. Every point of inbox placement we lose is revenue our customers lose.\nWe are looking for a Deliverability Engineer who can live in both worlds: someone who understands\nsender reputation, ISP policy and authentication as deeply as any deliverability consultant, but who is\nalso comfortable on a Linux box at 2 AM reading MTA logs to find out why a sending IP suddenly started\ngetting 421s from Google. If you can read a bounce log, tell the difference between a real block and a\ntransient defer, and explain to a customer why their list quality is killing their reputation - in the same\nafternoon - you are the person we want.\nThis is a hands-on role. You will own inbox placement for a large book of enterprise senders, work\ndirectly with the SRE and platform teams on the sending infrastructure, and be the person the delivery\nteam escalates to when something is genuinely on fire.\nWhat you’ll actually do\n- Own deliverability end-to-end. Own inbox placement and sender reputation across our sending IP\npools and domains - monitor it, defend it, and recover it when it drops.\n- Debug on the server. Read the logs. Dig through MTA logs (receiving and sending nodes), SMTP\ntransaction logs and bounce data to root-cause why mail is deferring, bouncing or landing in spam.\nYou should be able to tell a 4xx defer from a 5xx block and know what to do about each.\n- Warm-up & IP hygiene. Manage IP warm-up schedules for new ranges and new customers, and\nknow when to slow a sender down before they burn a range.\n- Authentication. Set up and read SPF, DKIM, DMARC (and BIMI where it applies). Diagnose\nalignment failures and fix authentication issues for customers who bring their own domains.\n- ISP & mailbox provider policy. Stay ahead of Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft sender requirements\nand enforcement changes, and translate them into concrete actions before they hit our customers -\nnot after.\n- Blocklist monitoring & remediation. Watch Spamhaus, SURBL, Barracuda and the other\nblocklists. When we get listed, you find out why, fix the root cause, and drive the delisting.\n- Bounce & complaint handling. Classify and act on bounces and FBL/complaint feedback, keep\nsuppression clean, and use complaint and bounce signatures to catch list-quality and spamtrap\nproblems early.\n- Metrics & reporting. Build and read dashboards (Kibana / Grafana or similar) for delivery, bounce\nand latency metrics. Turn raw delivery data into something a customer or an account manager can\nact on.\n- Customer-facing deliverability. Work directly with customers on their sending practices - list\nhygiene, content, cadence, authentication - and hold the line on our compliance and anti-abuse\nstandards.\n- Cross-team work. Partner with SRE, platform and support engineering on MTA config, queue\nbehaviour and infrastructure changes that affect delivery. Deliverability doesn’t happen in isolation\nfrom the platform.\n- Audits & compliance. Run regular audits of our sending infrastructure and practices against\nindustry standards and mailbox-provider requirements, and keep us compliant with anti-spam\nregulation (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL and the rest).\n- Vendor & postmaster relationships. Own the external relationships that decide our fate - blocklist\noperators, feedback-loop and seed-list / inbox-placement providers, and mailbox-provider\npostmaster channels - to troubleshoot issues and push delistings through.\n- Documentation. Keep deliverability SOPs, runbooks and playbooks current so the delivery and\nsupport teams can handle the routine cases without escalating every time.\n- Mentoring & training. Coach the delivery and support teams on deliverability fundamentals - turn\ntribal knowledge into something the whole team can actually use.\n- Tooling & continuous improvement. Evaluate new deliverability, monitoring and inbox-placement\ntooling, and make the call on what’s worth adopting - we’re actively investing in better tooling, not\nstanding still.\nWhat we’re looki ng for\n- Real email-industry exposure. 4+ years working hands-on in email deliverability, ideally at an ESP,\nCPaaS or a serious high-volume sender - not just campaign-side marketing.\n- You understand SMTP properly. Solid working knowledge of SMTP: response codes, bounce\ncodes, deferrals, connection behaviour, and what mailbox providers do and don’t tell you.\n- Server-level comfort. Comfortable on Linux. You can SSH into a box, grep through logs, follow a\nmessage through the pipeline, and use basic scripting (bash / Python) to pull the answer out of a\nlarge log file.\n- Authentication in your bones. Hands-on with SPF, DKIM, DMARC, DNS records, and comfortable\ndiagnosing them when they break.\n- You know the ecosystem. You know Postmaster Tools, SNDS, feedback loops, blocklists and the\nreputation systems that actually decide inbox placement.\n- Analytical and evidence-driven. When mail is going to spam, you form a hypothesis, test it against\nthe data, and fix the actual cause instead of guessing.\n- Clear communicator. You can explain a deliverability problem to a customer, an account manager\nand an engineer - three different audiences - and influence stakeholders at every level without\nlosing any of them.\nNice to have (not deal-breakers)\n- Hands-on experience with MTA -Postfix, PowerMTA or similar.\n- Familiarity with Elasticsearch / Kibana or another log-analytics stack for delivery monitoring.\n- Exposure to AWS (or another cloud) and how sending infrastructure runs on it.\n- Working knowledge of Redis, message queues (RabbitMQ ) or the moving parts of a sending\npipeline.\n- HTML email and rendering know-how - enough to spot when the content is the problem.\n- Prior time in a deliverability lead or expert role - if you’ve owned this for an organisation before, that\ncounts.\n- A bachelor’s in marketing, CS/IT or a related field - or equivalent real-world experience.\nWhy PXS Global?\nGlobal & Inclusive - Work with diverse teams across 100+ countries, embracing a truly international culture.\n\nGrowth-Focused - Develop your career through tailored learning, leadership programmes, and internal mobility.\n\nInnovation-Driven - Contribute to cutting-edge projects in 5G, IoT, and next-gen communication technologies.\n\nFlexible Workstyle - Enjoy hybrid working with the option to work remotely and even from abroad for up to 10 days a year.\n\nEfficient & Scalable - Be part of a company that values simplicity, operational excellence, and smart growth.\n\nComprehensive Benefits - Enjoy a competitive and thoughtfully designed salary package, with a wide range of benefits.\n\nA bachelor’s in marketing, CS/IT or a related field - or equivalent real-world experience.","description_format":"text","description_chars":8935,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":4,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":true},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Flexible schedule","Hybrid work"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"India","iso":"IN","kind":"country"},{"name":"Pakistan","iso":"PK","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Design & Creative","Government","Branding","Information Security"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-11T19:17:53Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":33,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":1,"p_active":0.593,"p_room":0.55,"age_days":22,"expected_fill_days":17,"reasons":["conf:2","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-10-13T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/proximus-email-deliverability-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/proximus-email-deliverability-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-13T07:15:28Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":10629,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-14T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":54371},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=54371"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fproximus-email-deliverability-engineer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fproximus-email-deliverability-engineer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fproximus-email-deliverability-engineer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/proximus-email-deliverability-engineer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fproximus-email-deliverability-engineer"}]}
