This is a hands-on senior full stack software engineering role.We are looking for an Engineer who is passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. This role requires depth of knowledge and expertise across all aspects of the software development lifecycle, while partnering continuously with multiple stakeholders to stay focused on common goals.\nAs part of this dynamic role, you will work closely with business units and other IT teams to deliver leading edge technology to enable digital capabilities of Prudential Singapore.\nJob Description:\nDeliver technical excellence.\nContribute to the translation of business requirements into well-architected full stack software solutions.\nParticipate in and, where required, facilitate technical discussions with the team.\nAdhere and contribute to platform-related technical standards and processes.\nDevelop data integration, migration, and deployment strategies.\nDeliver applications in accordance with relevant IT policies and procedures.\nAdhere to the company’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).\nIdentify and solve complex technical problems collaboratively.\nContribute to code reviews, technical design, and engineering best practices.\nWho we are looking for:\nStrong background in design/development (functional and non-blocking programming) and support of large web-based systems, with complete software product lifecycle exposure.\nStrong culture of software testing (Unit Test, TDD, BDD).\n5-8 years of full stack development experience across backend and frontend technologies.\nExperience and affinity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).\nComplexity estimation / planning poker.\nStrong background in Java/Spring Boot backend development and modern frontend application development using React or Flutter.\nStrong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning, engineering best practices, and deployment methodologies.\nMust have experience with:\nJava 11+.\nRESTful APIs and Microservices development (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud), with integration into web or mobile frontends.\nTDD/BDD (JUnit, Cucumber).\nAny RDBMS and NoSQL.\nCode Version Control tools (GIT, Bitbucket).\nBasics of DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).\nBasics of Cloud platform (services such as Kubernetes and API Gateway).\nBasics of Event Bus (Confluent Kafka).\nHands-on experience with React or Flutter, including component development, state management, API integration, responsive design, and automated testing.\nWorking Experience:\n5-8 years in designing, developing, and maintaining IT applications.\nExperience in Agile software development.\nExperience with 3rd party vendor engagement is an added advantage.\nEducation:\nBachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.\nLanguage:\nFluent written and spoken English.\nPrudential is an equal opportunity employer.
