We need to converge our varied workloads to common applications and solutions across the group.\nAll applications need to adopt common services, platforms, architectural principles, and design patterns.\nWe need to create framework for multi cloud adoption and migration. Build cloud suitability framework for workloads. Provide design for cloud implementation and automate software integration and deployment, provision infrastructure as a code.\nEngineering teams then design and build new capabilities & features, they need to begin with an end-state vision of how their applications and infrastructure will operate within this architecture and, then, engineer them accordingly.\nThis sets a common set of parameters and tools for technology provides a consistent approach to security and reliability. In addition, Architectural agility has a causal relationship with potential strategic and operational benefits.\nThe Enterprise Architecture team is responsible for enabling the above ambition and guiding the design and development of architecture framework and policies which guide our technology landscape for the group encompassing business, infrastructure, data, application and security architecture, that meet current and future enterprise business strategy.\nThis role requires the candidate to have curate & apply depth of knowledge to help the Enterprise architecture team deliver the above. In addition, the role will focus deeply on:\nAsia, Africa geographies to guide their future architecture roadmap.\n\nMulti-cloud infrastructure with regards to policy and design framework.\n\nWork closely with GBS Business Design Lead, Chief of GBS and Functional Leads to establish new standards and develop target architectures for GBS\n\nConduct architecture assessments and define target state solutions\n\nProvide the technical scope, defining and driving the best solution to meet the technical performance, scalability, flexibility, operations and capability needs of Functional teams\n\nSupport the technology solutioning and estimating in proposals, planning and pricing\n\nDevelop long-term technology strategies centered on business objectives\n\nIdentify services that will improve performance, enhance support, and increase capabilities\n\nEnvision and develop the long-term architectural direction, with emphasis on platforms/ Product reusable components.\n\nFormulate the Group Infrastructure policy and multi cloud framework and design, in conjunction with other domain architects representing Digital, Data, AI, Engineering, Security, operations and Local Business Units.\n\nBuild future state architecture to encompass business strategy with design consideration of convergence, modernization, cost efficiency, business functionality, interpretability, cloud native design, resilience, security and future proofing.\n\nBuild an ongoing view on emergent market landscape for technology insights, direction, vendors, and methods.\n\nIdentify and evaluate alternative design options and trade-offs to handle both functional and non-functional requirements; Recommend designs that consider current applications & architecture, operating models as well as end target state architecture.\n\nResponsible for end-to-end architecture, high- & low-level designs of various systems and applications in line with Asia group strategy; Lead the preparation of detailed Solution specifications to form the basis for development & modification of applications; Define integration patterns.\n\nEnsure adoption and implementation of defined solutions; Provide technical expertise to enable the application design & iteration; Collaborates with technical teams to develop and agree system integration plans and review progress for Africa, India and Asia.\n\nLead one of the Enterprise Architecture clusters when required to create harmony in application architectures.\n\nEnsure that Extensions and additions to the defined architecture are undertaken frequently in line with every evolving business and technology landscape but go through rigorous vetting processes.\n\nEnsure that the collaborative nature of capabilities such as design and engineering is coupled with tight governance around non-negotiables like security, availability and performance.\n\nWho we are looking for:\nTechnical Skills & work experience:\nProven experience as a Enterprise Solution Architecture in last 3 years in insurance (Preferred) or banking industry, with overall experience between 10 to 15 years.\n\nDemonstrated ability to understand business strategy & processes & its successful translation into technology solutions.\n\nExperience with DevSecOps, cloud engineering, SRE (prefer Azure and GCP).\n\nExperience with software development and system administration\n\nExcellent knowledge of technical architecture and modern design patterns, including Web and mobile App, API Architecture, N-tier, event driven, microservices, serverless functions, No code/Low code concepts etc.\n\nDeep End-to-End Architecture understanding, including Enterprise Java Stack, Front-End technologies (React Native, Flutter), mobile applications (Android and iOS), iPAAS Middleware, Databases (SQL & No SQL MongoDB atlas, Postgres etc), Data Lake, Data bricks, Data Warehouses, iSeries & DB2 based systems, RESTful APIs.\n\nExperienced in streaming technology or frameworks such as Kafka/confluent cloud.\n\nDeep understanding of Enterprise Integration and Messaging Patterns, Microservice 12 Factor Governance practices.\n\nFamiliar with one or more Architecture Frameworks (e.g. TOGAF etc.)\n\nUnderstanding about AI/ML Technologies like LLM, Azure/GCP AI Tools, Data Products concepts and experiences.\n\nGood understanding of DevOps.\n\nPrudential is an equal opportunity employer.
