Everyone at Prysmian has the potential to make their mark; because whatever you do, wherever you are based, you will be part of a company that is helping transform the world around us.\nYour day to day will include but not limited to:\nManage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.\nInstall, configure, evaluate and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.\nDevelop, write, and de-bug control logic for machine control, make design modifications and improvements to complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment. \nMaintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.\nCarefully and thoroughly document all control logic work. Keep existing documentation current and accessible to other team members. Ensure that copies of software are up-to- date and available to the rest of the Electrical Team Members and that sufficient back-up copies are maintained in a safe location. \nPrepare reports and provide feedback to management as required improving operations and machining reliability. Maintain and demonstrate a safety-first mentality.\nObserve and follow all plant and department safety rules, work rules, procedures, and EHS policies.\nDevelop and maintain an elevated level of knowledge of wire and cable equipment and processes.\nProvide electrical assistance when needed.\nProvide engineering support and direction to the maintenance department for maintaining electrical and electronic equipment in a manner which optimizes operational performance and safety.\nManage all assigned projects which include cost estimations, designs, specifications, approvals, procurement, installation, startup, cost control, safety and overall implementation to achieve Plant and organizational objectives.\nDevelop and maintain control system and electrical drawings for the plant manufacturing systems.\nAnalyze and interpret electrical schematics to the component level as required to make repairs and return equipment to operation.\nUtilize programming devices to analyze P.L.C. programs for failures or improvements. \nMaintain detailed records of critical process variables and ensure that programs are logical and as comprehensible as possible.\nProvide direction to maintenance associates in troubleshooting, repair, and program AC/DC drive systems. \nTroubleshoot and repair of plant manufacturing machinery in support of maintenance and production.\nMust be able to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical literature to aid in improving, troubleshooting and reliability of plant machinery and systems.\nProvide recommendations, ideas, and suggestions for upgrading of system controls for equipment and operations.\nProvide basic to advanced training to process engineers, maintenance associates and other personnel as needed.\nConsider energy efficiency in the purchase, upgrading and installation of equipment. \nRequired to operate in an ISO environment which may have specific requirements related to quality, safety, environmental or energy management.\nOther tasks as required.\nRequired Qualifications:\nAdvanced computer skills required including PLC programming. (Experience with Wonderware a plus). \nAbility to multi-task.\nAdvanced knowledge of motor controls and drives (AC, DC and VFD), PLC and relay-based systems.\nAble to read and/or create PID drawings and install/implement control devices from engineered drawings.\nBecause this position carries significant responsibility, extended work hours may be required to meet production demands and avoid downtime.\nMust be able to climb stairs and ladders.\nMust be able to work in varying seasonal temperatures within an industrial manufacturing environment.\n5 years minimum experience in system engineering role.\nDesired qualifications:\n10 years proven working experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining applications software and systems controls.\nBS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Systems, Control System, or a related subject.\nThe typical base salary range for this role is $86,000.00 to $130,000.00.
