Make Your Mark at Prysmian!\nNorth America Site Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager\nNature and Scope\nReporting to North America Health, Safety and Environmental Regional Manager with daily reporting to Facility Leader (Matrix organization); the Site HSE Manager leads corporate and regulatory health, safety and environmental initiatives and processes at assigned location to reduce team member injury, ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and minimize Company exposure. This position works closely with Corporate HSE, facility leadership, various other corporate functions, as well as external agencies and resources.\nJob Objectives/Initiatives at Assigned Locations:\nResponsible for the development, implementation, training, and maintenance of facility policies, programs and procedures to reduce team member injury, minimize company exposure and ensure compliance with corporate HSE management system and all applicable HSE regulations (OSHA; EPA; DOT; etc.).\nEnsures compliance with all environmental permits, regulations, and reporting requirements for assigned facility.\nEnsures ongoing Compliance with all aspects of Hazardous Waste EPA Regulations (SQG).\nDrives programs involving team member engagement and behavior-based safety processes (Consequence Thinking - Zero & Beyond).\nResponsible for maintaining certification to ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 Standards.\nResponsible for timely and accurate reporting of all Corporate HSE metrics and data requests.\nProactively provides hands-on support in areas such as: Health, Safety and Environmental Procedure implementation (Corporate and site specific), behavioral safety processes, corporate safety mandates, and interpretation of applicable regulatory regulations.\nDrives an incident reporting process that ensures effective investigation, reporting, corrective actions, and best practice sharing throughout their business unit and corporate.\nConducts and assists with internal and external HSE audits and meets with regulatory agencies during facility inspections/audits as required.\nActs as a support resource in the development and review of facility specific HSE training needs analysis, operational reviews and new installation assessments.\nPartners with Facility leadership to participate in key HSE team meetings, Kaizen/Gemba events, and other key meetings where HSE representation is requested.\nWorks closely with HSE counterparts and serves as region representative to cross-regional forums for best practice sharing, idea exchange, shared learning, etc.\nParticipates in other key HSE initiatives as assigned by NA HSE Department or Facility Leader.\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, engineering, or other related field.\nDirect experience and time in HSE role may be used as a substitute for Degree.\nQualifications/Experience\n2 plus years of direct experience with OSHA compliance, behavior-based safety, root cause evaluation, incident management, standards and procedural development, auditing, and training.\nDemonstrated passion for safety and environmental excellence.\nKnowledge of worker’s compensation regulations.\nExperience with Environmental permit compliance and Large Quantity Hazardous Waste management\nKnowledge of ISO Management Systems (ISO14001:2015 & 45001:2018) a plus.\nExperience with manufacturing site.\nStrong organizational & planning skills.\nExcellent analytical skills & problem-solving skills.\nProficient with technology such as excel, PowerPoint, Word and other standard computer applications.\nExcellent interpersonal & communication skills (oral & written), able to interact with all levels in the organization.\nThis is a site level role (not remote)\nAbility to travel periodically for meetings and participation in other site audits.\n-----------------------------------------\nJob Offer Fraud Alert\nWe take the security of our candidates seriously.
