This role serves as the central link between Sales, Customer Service, Production, Planning, Procurement, and Logistics to align manufacturing capacity with customer requirements and business objectives.\nThe Master Scheduler will utilize ERP and planning systems to balance demand, inventory levels, production constraints, and material availability within a fast-paced fiber optic cable manufacturing environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduction Planning & Scheduling\nDevelop and maintain a rolling Master Production Schedule (MPS) for fiber optic cable and related products.\nTranslate customer demand forecasts and sales orders into executable production schedules.\nBalance manufacturing capacity, labor availability, equipment constraints, and material supply.\nMonitor schedule adherence and adjust plans to address changing priorities and operational challenges.\nLead weekly production planning and scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams.\nDemand & Inventory Management\nCollaborate with Demand Planning, Sales, and Customer Service to review forecasts and customer requirements.\nAnalyze inventory levels and maintain optimal stock to support service and financial objectives.\nIdentify demand fluctuations, risks, and capacity gaps and develop mitigation plans.\nDrive inventory reduction initiatives while maintaining required customer service levels.\nSupply Chain Coordination\nPartner with Procurement to ensure raw material availability aligns with production schedules.\nCoordinate with Operations and Manufacturing leaders regarding machine utilization and production capacity.\nWork closely with Logistics to support shipment commitments and customer delivery requirements.\nCommunicate schedule changes, constraints, and recovery plans to stakeholders.\nPerformance Analysis\nMonitor and report key planning metrics including:Schedule attainment\nOn-time delivery\nInventory turns\nCapacity utilization\nCustomer service levels\nProduction adherence\n\nAnalyze production performance and recommend schedule improvements.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and manufacturing efficiency.\nERP & Systems Management\nMaintain planning parameters and scheduling data within ERP/MRP systems.\nEnsure accuracy of bills of materials, lead times, routing information, and planning master data.\nSupport implementation and optimization of planning tools and reporting systems.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.\nMinimum 5 years of production planning, master scheduling, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAPICS/ASCM Certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent).\nExperience within fiber optic cable, wire and cable, plastics extrusion, or continuous manufacturing operations.\nKnowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.\nExperience with advanced planning and scheduling systems (APS).\nKey Competencies\nProduction Planning & Scheduling\nSupply Chain Management\nCapacity Planning\nInventory Optimization\nERP/MRP Systems\nDemand Forecasting\nData Analysis\nLean Manufacturing Principles\nContinuous Improvement\nCross-Functional Leadership\nPhysical & Work Environment Requirements\nAbility to work in both office and manufacturing environments.\nOccasional walking, standing, and plant floor inspections.\nMay require flexibility to support operational needs during critical production periods.\nSuccess Measures\nThe Master Scheduler's performance will be measured by:\nOn-Time Delivery (OTD)\nSchedule Attainment\nInventory Turnover\nProduction Schedule Adherence\nCustomer Service Performance\nForecast Accuracy\nCapacity Utilization\nWorking Capital Improvement\nThis position plays a critical role in ensuring Prysmian Jackson meets customer expectations while driving operational excellence, inventory optimization, and profitable growth.\n-----------------------------------------\nJob Offer Fraud Alert\nWe take the security of our candidates seriously.
