You'll use your technical expertise and leadership skills to support our jointing operations, maintain high standards of workmanship and safety, and help develop the next generation of jointers.\nThe role offers a balance between site-based support and technical leadership, allowing you to remain connected to operations while reducing the day-to-day physical demands of full-time jointing work.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nAs Jointing Supervisor, you will provide technical guidance and operational support across a variety of projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Prysmian's high standards.\nKey responsibilities include:\nSupporting and overseeing jointing activities on site to ensure compliance with company procedures and industry best practice.\nPromoting a strong safety culture and driving high standards of quality and workmanship.\nProviding technical support and advice to jointing teams across a range of projects.\nInvestigating and helping resolve technical jointing issues where they arise.\nAssisting with the development and implementation of jointing procedures, instructions, and best practices.\nSupporting new product introductions, techniques, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nAssisting with planning activities, tooling requirements, and project readiness.\nSupporting the training and development of existing and trainee jointers.\nRepresenting the jointing function in meetings with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.\nWorking closely with the Jointing Operations Manager to ensure successful project delivery.\nTravel to customer and project sites across the UK will be required, although travel is generally limited and overnight stays are typically infrequent.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're keen to hear from experienced cable jointers or supervisory professionals who have extensive knowledge of high-voltage cable systems and jointing techniques.\nYou'll ideally have:\nSignificant experience in HV/EHV cable jointing and accessory installation.\nStrong technical knowledge of cable systems, joints, terminations, and associated accessories.\nA passion for sharing knowledge and developing others.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills.\nThe ability to investigate technical issues and implement practical solutions.\nA proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.\nPrevious experience in a supervisory, mentoring, or technical support capacity would be advantageous.\nWhy Join Prysmian?\nAt Prysmian, you'll be part of a business that is helping deliver the infrastructure needed for a more sustainable future.\n\nIn return, you'll benefit from:\nThe opportunity to influence and improve jointing standards across the business.\nA varied role combining technical expertise, leadership, and problem-solving.\nOngoing development and career progression opportunities.\nThe chance to work with experienced industry professionals on major UK infrastructure projects.\nA supportive and collaborative working environment.\nPrysmian , as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
