A commitment to work a reasonable amount of overtime is required.\nThe UK High Voltage Laboratory tests everything from high voltage to extra high voltage cables and accessories and is the largest laboratory both within the UK and within the Prysmian Group worldwide.\nThe main responsibilities of this role:\nTo work on XLPE and fluid filled cable projects, assisting high voltage cable jointers.\nTo assist high voltage test engineers in the setting up of tests\nTo perform optical fibre jointing and testing\nAssist with general laboratory housekeeping\nAssist in plant maintenance activities\nTo perform degasification and filing operations related to cable terminations\nQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE \nThe successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and be able to work to a high level of accuracy, in a fast-paced environment. The individual will be willing to work flexibly to achieve deadlines as required.\nA FLT licence is desirable; however, training can be provided.\nCandidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate at a variety of levels internally, providing feedback to the laboratory management.\nExperience in a similar role/environment is desirable.\n Location Details\nThe site location address is Prysmian Cables & Systems Limited, Chickenhall Lane, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO50 6YU.
