Demonstrate strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and troubleshooting capabilities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nPreventive and Predictive Maintenance\nPerform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) activities on manufacturing equipment and facility assets.\nInspect machinery and equipment for signs of wear, misalignment, vibration, leaks, or mechanical failure.\nComplete predictive maintenance activities including vibration analysis, thermal inspections, lubrication programs, and condition monitoring where applicable.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentation through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).\nTroubleshooting and Repairs\nDiagnose and repair mechanical failures on production equipment and supporting plant systems.\nRespond to emergency breakdowns and equipment failures to minimize operational downtime.\nTroubleshoot gearboxes, pumps, compressors, conveyors, bearings, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, packaging equipment, and production machinery.\nInterpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.\nReplace, rebuild, fabricate, or refurbish machine components as required.\nInstallation and Commissioning\nInstall new machinery and production equipment.\nParticipate in equipment upgrades, modifications, and capital projects.\nPerform precision alignment of machinery using laser alignment equipment, dial indicators, or other precision tools.\nConduct machinery levelling, balancing, and commissioning activities.\nSupport factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) as required.\nFabrication and Welding\nPerform basic welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication activities.\nFabricate machine guards, brackets, supports, and repair components as required.\nUtilize hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, and maintenance shop equipment safely and effectively.\nReliability and Continuous Improvement\nIdentify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.\nParticipate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Kaizen events, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.\nRecommend equipment upgrades and process improvements to enhance reliability, productivity, and safety.\nSupport Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement initiatives.\nHealth, Safety, and Environmental Compliance\nComply with all company safety policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.\nFollow Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and company standards.\nExecute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before performing maintenance activities.\nConduct risk assessments and hazard identification prior to work.\nUse required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nMaintain housekeeping standards in maintenance shops and work areas.\nReport all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.\nTeam Collaboration\nWork closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.\nMentor apprentices and less experienced maintenance personnel.\nParticipate in shift handovers and maintenance planning meetings.\nProvide technical support during major shutdowns and start-ups.\nYou’ll have the opportunity to make an impact, build strong partnerships, and grow your career in a business that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement\nPrysmian , as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
