You'll work with cutting-edge technologies while collaborating with engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, and global technical teams to make a direct impact on plant performance.\nIf you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy turning data into action, and want to help shape the future of advanced manufacturing, we'd love to meet you.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead and optimize assigned manufacturing processes to improve yield, quality, productivity, and process stability.\n\nMonitor process performance, analyze data trends, and drive root cause investigations for quality and equipment issues.\n\nDesign, maintain, and improve PLC, HMI, SCADA, and other control systems supporting fiber manufacturing operations.\n\nImplement automation and process control improvements that enhance reliability, efficiency, and product quality.\n\nProvide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for process, automation, instrumentation, and equipment-related challenges.\n\nPartner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and improve plant performance.\n\nLead continuous improvement, cost reduction, and capital project initiatives from concept through implementation.\n\nSupport new product introductions, process qualifications, and equipment upgrades.\n\nDevelop and maintain process documentation, KPIs, reporting tools, and control system standards.\n\nCollaborate with global Prysmian engineering teams to share best practices and implement innovative manufacturing solutions.\n\nParticipate in a rotating on-call schedule and provide occasional off-hours support as needed.\n\nWhat You Bring\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering\n\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\n\nExperience working with large data sets and making data-driven decisions\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with optical fiber manufacturing (VAD, OVD, AVD, PCVD, preform manufacturing, fiber draw, coating, or related processes) is highly preferred.\n\n5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing, process control, industrial automation, or process engineering environments.\n\nExperience with PLC programming platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent.\n\nExperience working with HMI, SCADA, industrial networks, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.\n\nKnowledge of statistical analysis and process improvement methodologies such as SPC, Minitab, Six Sigma, or similar tools.\n\nFamiliarity with motion control systems, machine vision, and advanced manufacturing technologies.\n\nExperience managing capital projects and leading cross-functional teams.\n\nIndustry Experience Advantage\nCandidates with experience in optical fiber manufacturing processes including VAD, OVD, AVD, PCVD, preform production, fiber draw operations, coating processes, or related glass manufacturing technologies will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact in this role.\nWhat Makes You Successful\nCurious, hands-on, and passionate about continuous improvement.\n\nDriven to become a subject matter expert and technical leader.\n\nComfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where every day brings new challenges.\n\nAble to influence teams and drive change across multiple departments.\n\nDetail-oriented, organized, and committed to operational excellence.\n\nMotivated by solving tough problems and seeing your solutions make an immediate impact.\n\nThrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.\n\nWhy You'll Love Working Here\nAt Prysmian, you'll work at the intersection of advanced manufacturing, automation, and innovation.
