Project Controlling Intern

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Intern - Project Controlling Transmission to join our Finance team and support the economic and financial management of large-scale transmission projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with Project Controllers and Project Managers, contributing to project planning, performance monitoring, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting activities. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to complex international projects and develop a strong understanding of project controlling processes within a leading global energy infrastructure company

Key Purpose of the Role:

Support the Senior Controlling team in the financial management of Transmission Business Unit projects by contributing to planning, performance monitoring, variance analysis, forecasting and reporting activities. The objective is to help ensure effective control of project financial performance throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the preparation of monthly project financial reports.

- Assist in the analysis of project costs, revenues, profitability and cash flow.

- Contribute to forecasting and budgeting activities.

- Support the validation and reconciliation of financial data within company systems.

- Perform ad hoc analyses to support Senior Controllers and management decision-making.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to project controlling processes and reporting tools.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Management Engineering or related disciplines.

Recent graduate or student in the final stage of their academic studies.

Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Copilot/ AI good knowledge

Basic understanding of financial concepts such as costs, revenues, margins and cash flow.

Knowledge of SAP, ERP systems or Business Intelligence tools is considered a plus.

Language Skills

Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Personal Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy.

Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Organizational Reporting Line

The successful candidate will join the Controlling Transmission Team and will report functionally to the relevant Senior Controller
