Elaborate, develop, industrialize and transfer optical fibers manufacturing processes at the Douvrin plant in France.\nDescription:\nReporting to Fiber R&D Management, you will drive APVD process development, qualification and scale-up for optical fiber preform manufacturing processes.\nJob:\nIn a multicultural and multisite context, you will:\nDevelop, optimize and industrialize manufacturing processes for Advanced Plasma Vapor Deposition and associated processes.\nParticipate in process qualification and validation activities in collaboration with Product R&D, Quality, Process Control and Manufacturing teams.\nBe part of a multidisciplinary team of expertise to guide future improvement projects.\nConduct experiments, analyze, draw conclusions, and implement recommendations\nAs part of the support to production teams, investigate process deviations, perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.\nActively participate in process transfers to production teams.\nLead continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield improvement, cost reduction, process robustness and operational excellence.\nContribute to innovation activities through patents, publications, technical benchmarking and technology watch.\nDevelop technical expertise and actively share knowledge within the organization.\nSafety First:\nIn our industrial environment, safety is paramount. You will:\nApply and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations.\nPromote the prevention of occupational risks and control of pollution and nuisances.\nAdhere to and advocate for best practices in safety and continuous improvement.\nTravel within Prysmian's international organization will regularly be required.\nProfile:\nEngineering degree from a leading engineering school, or MSc/University degree in materials science, optics, photonics, physics, chemistry or process engineering; PhD is a plus.\nAt least 3-years experience in industrial R&D, process development, manufacturing engineering or technology development.\nKnowledge of optical fiber manufacturing, glass processing, deposition technologies, plasma processes is an advantage.\nDirect management experience is a plus.\nGood understanding of fiber design and manufacturing constraints is a plus.\nExperience with Design of Experiments (DoE), process characterization and industrial qualification methodologies.\nKnowledge of programming, data analytics and database tools (Python, SQL, statistical software) is appreciated.\nStrong experimental mindset, data analysis capabilities and ability to use statistical tools to drive process decisions.\nFluent English; French is a plus.\nProject management, communication skills and ability to work with R&D, production, maintenance, quality and engineering teams.\nAutonomy, rigor, methodology, autonomy, curiosity, flexibility, reliability and strong commitment to safety and industrial performance.\nAt Prysmian, innovation, teamplay, passion and belonging are part of our DNA.
