This position will primarily support furnace operations, including monitoring molten metal temperatures, oxygen levels, furnace levels, and related equipment.\nThe ideal candidate is comfortable working in a hands-on industrial environment, troubleshooting equipment, making adjustments, and performing minor repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.\nEssential Job Functions\nOperate and monitor production machinery and furnace-related equipment.\nMaintain proper furnace melting rates, temperatures, oxygen content, and molten metal levels.\nPerform routine checks of furnace burners, tap holes, spouts, launders, holding furnaces, hoses, lines, and related equipment.\nMonitor equipment and production processes to ensure they remain within required operating ranges.\nIdentify equipment or process issues and make necessary adjustments.\nTroubleshoot mechanical problems and replace or repair parts as needed.\nPerform minor maintenance, cleaning, and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.\nCalibrate and monitor equipment such as CO analyzers as required.\nCheck equipment for air and gas leaks and report or correct issues.\nStart up and shut down equipment following company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.\nMaintain required production and maintenance records.\nKeep the work area clean and follow all safety procedures.\nPerform other production or machine operator duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nPrevious manufacturing, production, machine operating, or mechanically inclined experience preferred.\nAbility to troubleshoot equipment and make basic mechanical adjustments.\nComfortable working around industrial machinery, excessive heat, and high-voltage equipment.\nAbility to work in tight spaces, underneath machinery, and on elevated structures when required.\nAbility to push, pull, and lift heavy objects or machine parts with or without assistance.\nAbility to stand and work for extended periods.\nMust be able to work a 12-hour night shift (6 PM-6 AM).\n-----------------------------------------\nJob Offer Fraud Alert\nWe take the security of our candidates seriously.
