Everyone at Prysmian has the potential to make their mark; because whatever you do, wherever you are based, you will be part of a company that is helping transform the world around us.\nJob Summary:\nThe Process Engineering Manager will support and collaborate with the leadership team at the Sedalia, MO manufacturing operation to pursue technical excellence in our manufacturing operation. Together, with the engineering team, the manager will be responsible for planning and directing the activities of the engineering department for the purpose of creating a sustainable operation through safety, quality, environmental, and productivity improvements. Also, the engineering department maintains responsibility for supporting the relevance of the operation in the future through the industrialization of new products, materials, and processes to ensure our facility can meet the demands of the rapidly growing power distribution market.\nSupervision Scope:\nDirect Supervision of the engineering department.\n\nPositions directly reporting to engineering manager include, Process Engineer, Process Technician, and Die Shop Technician\n\nJob Responsibilities:\nResponsible for the plantContinuous Improvement (C.I.) program. Lead the plant C.I. Council and implement C.I. initiatives through leadership, training, and event organization.\n\nDevelop, design, and maintainprocess lines within the operation.\n\nAssure material specifications to produce the highest quality products.\n\nUtilize project management techniques to accurately forecast, manage, and coordinate project budget schedules.\n\nPrepare, update, and execute a capital strategic plan for process improvements, capacity expansion, and new product lines.\n\nDevelop and implement the latest technologies to support the Business Strategy.\n\nSupport the facility to make productivity improvements in the production process. These improvements will ensure the operation generates profits which are shared with our workforce through an annual gainsharing plan.\n\nWork with other managers to ensure the process follows the safety, quality, and environmental plans.\n\nCollaborate with team members to collect, analyze, and distribute data for plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Some examples of KPI data include but are not limited to: Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), machine changeover times, 6S audits, process scrap, and process usage.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineeringor related technical discipline.\n\n5 years of process engineering or process management experience.\n\nProven ability to complete projects through collaboration and teamwork.\n\nContinuous improvement training and experience (Six Sigma, Kaizen, Gemba, DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, Heijunka, etc.)\n\nExcellent team building skills - as team leader, team memberor trainer.\n\nEnthusiastic individual who has demonstratedability workingin a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nGood attention to detail and the ability to make long-term strategic decisions that will positively impactthe process and the people working in the operation.\n\nEffectively manage complex tasks through thoughtful resource deployment and demonstrateabilityto prioritize tasks to achieve optimalresults.\n\nAbility to motivate, communicateand drive continuous improvement through methodologies that support our team members’ ability to successfully execute process improvements.\n\nCritical and analytical thinking skills with the ability to communicate complex engineering techniques to non-technical team members.\n\nGood understanding of business principles and practicesand abilityto create financial solutions that positively impactthe company and its shareholderswhich include Prysmian employees.\n\nSolid planning, budgeting, and administrative skills.\n\nHighly energetic, enthusiastic, and caring person with abilityto interact positively with the hundreds of employees that come to work each day and each night at the Sedaliaoperation.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster’s Degree in Engineeringor MBA\n\nMetallurgical or Plastics processing experience specific to the wire and cable industry - highly desirable\n\nWork Environment / Physical Demands:\nFrequent tasks involving walking, standing, squatting, and bending are required.\n\nOccasional manual lifting to 40 pounds\n\nWearing Personal Protective Equipment required for job duties and required tasks.\n\n-----------------------------------------\nJob Offer Fraud Alert\nWe take the security of our candidates seriously.
