This position is also responsible for maintaining and initiating all health, safety and environmental standards, managing projects within budget and deadlines, supervising and determining training and development needs of the maintenance team members.\nPrincipal Duties & Responsibilities:\nDirect the activities of the maintenance department to ensure that all plant equipment is maintained and repaired with minimum downtime. \nScheduling preventative maintenance for all machines and make sure scheduling is executed. \nCoordinate priority maintenance scheduling with production requirements in conjunction with department managers and production scheduling. \nEnforce all safety procedures and policies and ensure work is done in compliance with State and Federal regulations including ARC Flash, LOTO, HAZMAT, etc. \nEnsure buildings’ security is maintained at all times. \nEstablish contact with vendors as needed and take bids, approve bids (working closely with procurement) and supervise and inspect work to assure quality. \nBudget and control of department costs. \nCreates and implements strategic directions for reliability and maintenance. \nImplement asset productivity improvement programs in areas of uptime, mechanical integrity and reliability engineering. \nOversee MRO room to insure inventory accuracy and stocking of required machine parts. \nManage janitorial resources and facility services, including grounds maintenance. \nEnsure adequate catering and vending services. \nPerform special projects as required. \nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities\nTalent management - the desire and ability to identify talented team members and foster their growth. Manages all personnel reviews, skills matrix, training oversight and recruiting. \nA results driven individual who has demonstrated ability working in a high performance manufacturing environment. \nAttention to details with the ability to manage the big picture. \nMust be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a day in and day out basis.\nAbility to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvement.\nCritical thinker with excellent analytical skills and the ability to learn technical processes quickly.\nStrong written and oral communication skills.\nSolid planning, leadership and administrative skills.\nStrong skills in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma with the ability to lead kaizens regarding TPM, uptime and safety.\nAble to develop and foster good 6S skills within the maintenance team and department\nQualificationsBS degree in Engineering, Technical Field or equivalent is desired.\n7-10 years Maintenance Engineering experience with industrial facilities and equipment; wire and cable experience highly desirable.\nDemonstrated experience leading high performance cross functional work teams.\nExperience with process control and new product introduction technologies.\nProven project management skills.\nStrong record of Lean Sigma Tools implementation is desired.\n\nCompensation\nThe typical base salary range for this role is $121,000.00 to $181,000.00.
