This position supports demand management, planning, and operational teams when systems, data, or process failures occur. The Operations Incident Specialist takes ownership from incident detection through root-cause identification and execution of an immediate fix. This role is action-oriented and execution-driven, having direct accountability for restoring operational continuity and minimizing business impact.\nWorkplace Policy\nHybrid from Atlanta, GA, Carrollton, TX, or Irvine, CA.\nWhat To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)\nIncident Investigation & Resolution\nPrimary responder for operational incidents impacting demand management, planning, or execution.\nRapidly triage system, data, and process issues to determine scope, severity, and root cause.\nExecute immediate corrective actions where possible or drive resolution across operations, IT, systems, and data teams.\nEnsure incidents are resolved within defined service-level expectations.\nOperational Firefighting & Support\nProvide real-time support to business partners when operational breakdowns occur.\nServe as the escalation point for complex or ambiguous issues requiring cross-functional coordination.\nRestore operational stability while balancing speed, data integrity, and risk.\nRoot Cause & Stabilization\nIdentify underlying causes of incidents (system defects, configuration errors, data issues, process gaps).\nImplement short-term mitigation and stabilization fixes.\nPartner with process improvement, systems, or engineering teams to hand off recurring issues for long-term resolution.\nMiscellaneous Job Responsibilities\nCommunication & Coordination\nClearly communicate incident status, impact, and resolution actions to stakeholders.\nMaintain incident documentation including timelines, actions taken, and resolution outcomes.\nCoordinate across teams to ensure ownership gaps do not delay resolution.\nContinuous Operational Readiness\nIdentify patterns and recurring incident themes.\nRecommend preventative controls, alerts, or operational checkpoints.\nContribute to improved incident response playbooks and escalation paths.\nWhat Is Required (Qualifications)\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.\n3+ years of experience in Operations, Operations Support, Sales Ops, Supply Chain Ops, Revenue Ops, or Production/Systems Support.\nProven experience resolving live operational issues.\nStrong root-cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities.\nAbility to operate calmly and decisively in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.\nExperience working cross-functionally with IT, Systems, Data, and Business teams.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nHow To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)\nExperience supporting demand management, planning, forecasting, or order-to-cash operations.\nFamiliarity with incident management or ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).\nExperience working with ERP, CRM, or planning systems.\nBackground in fast-paced, high-volume, or complex operational environments.\nOther\nCalifornia Salary depending on location:\nMinimum Salary: $67,982\nMaximum Salary: $99,678\nPerks\nComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.\nGenerous Paid Time Off including paid holidays and floating holidays.\n401(k) employer match on retirement planning.\nHybrid working schedule for eligible positions.\nTuition reimbursement on approved programs.\nFlexible and health spending accounts.\nTalent Development program.\nImagine the possibilities as a member of Murata's innovative global team.\nBe an innovator -
